Mandy (mandypants) AlbertaJenn and I are doing a buddy read of Pamela Clare's Surrender. Of course, anyone is welcome to join. Feel free to post questions/comments/impressions as you read.

Mandy (mandypants) I'm still at the beginning and all I can think about is this book: The Sovereignty and Goodness of God: with Related Documents. I'm having major flashbacks to my early American women's lit class. It's such an unusual setting for a romance novel. I think it works though.

AlbertaJenn | 0 comments Hey, sorry about the no-communication, Mandy! I just started the book (am literally about 5% through). Pretty good so far. Only just the opener, though. I`ll let you know when I have gotten a little more into the plot.

AlbertaJenn | 0 comments I'm not sure why, but I am having a tough time reading lately. It's not the book, it's just that I'm not in the right reading mood, I guess. I'm only 13% done the ebook. I'm still trouping away at it, though. So far, so good.

Mandy (mandypants) That's fine. It's really no big deal. I'm the kind of freak that generally reads a book in one or two sittings. I don't expect everyone else to read the same way.

AlbertaJenn | 0 comments Usually I'm that type as well. I just haven't had that interest to read so much lately. I think I may just be tired or something.

One thing I have noted in the bit that I have read; as a Canadian, living in a country with both English and French influences, we usually don't see one side or the other as the villans or "bad." so it is an insight to read a book where one side is very much seen as the bad guys.
