Carole | 4 comments There was a series of books from the 80's that i began reading and then lent to a friend and never finished reading. Needless to say i never got them back. I have been looking all over for the books but am stuck because i cant remember the title or author. I thought if i describe them someone out there might have read them and can tell me the author or title. The books take place in a sort of heaven along a river. the characters sometimes meet famous people who have died and travel along the river to other parts of the heaven. they sometimes fight as they move along the river. Sorry this description is vague but i was about 12 or 13 when i began reading it. any help would be greatly appreciated. The title might have had the word eden in it.

Bill (kernos) | 117 comments I liked Riverworld which I read a long time ago, an omnibus IIRC, but still have images in my mind. I liked the book a lot more than the movie.

Dan Schwent (akagunslinger) I read the first two Riverworld books but didn't enjoy them enough to get the rest of them. I preferred PJF's World of Tiers to Riverworld.

Carole | 4 comments I finished reading book one and I have to say I enjoyed it more when I was 10. Probably because I have read so much since then, but it was still a fun read. And Kernos, the books are always better than the movies!

Jaimey | 11 comments Riverworld is great. I was a big fan of Philip Jose Farmer. I always liked his historical and fictional references throughout his books. 'The Dungeon' series was my favourite though.
