Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Greyweather, I got the dates and the awards.

Other GR librarians, Please take care of the cover for the first book. I don't have the ability to edit cover images so covers I add are not always of top quality. Thank you very much.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Greyweather, Got it.

Edit: By the way, more originally published dates are incorrect than correct and there are librarians working on them regularly.

message 7: by Greyweather (new)

Greyweather | 28 comments Should I not look for them then?

message 8: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Greyweather, Feel free to look for them and post requests to change them. It's just that you're going to find many, that's all.

message 9: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Greyweather, Also, by the time you note & post them with links you could have corrected them yourself. You are eligible (rated over 50 books) to apply for librarian status. if you have interest, you can become a librarian and change them as you see them. Just fyi.

message 10: by Keith (new)

Keith (kgf0) | 377 comments Speaking of "First Published" errors, before I go mucking anything up, should that reflect the first publication date of the text of the book, or the first publication of that specific *edition* of the book? I could easily see arguments either way, and the Librarian Manual doesn't seem to address this issue. Hard to standardize if we're not all following the same standard.

message 11: by Cait (new)

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Thanks for checking, Keith! It's the first publication of any edition of the book. In fact, when you have several editions combined, editing the first publication date for any of them sets it for all of them (although editions combined later don't get updated when they're combined, which is a shame).
