You're lucky you live in Poland, we don't get "More Blood" until February 16, 2016. It will be called Midnight Sun because our publishers like that name more. Not to confuse people much. http://jonesbo.com/

Read the three of them as they came out and enjoy them. Like the characters. Curious how the tv series will play? One was, as with most first of a series, taken up a lot with building the characters, past and present.

it has been released here last month but I was finishing my MA degree and didn't have time for books that weren't releated to my thesis. I think I prefer the US title :-)

have you read The Rosie Effect as well? it doesn't get good reviews but I have to admit I already miss Don :-)

The #1 comedy on US TV is called "The Big Bang Theory" Sheldon is the main character and is the equivalent of Don. I'm a quarter of the way through the book. It's so funny I love it.

I have read the first two books and have just started "Career of Evil." I liked the characters in the first book but the plot has a "gotcha" that I missed. Don't remember much about the second book.

Finished the book Caise talked about The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. Really liked it, it was a love story and a comedy. I have several of those idiosyncrasies that Don has. Have to change up on my reading or I'll go nuts.

message 2411: by Caise (new)

Caise I have several of those idiosyncrasies as well :-) I'm probably the most awkward person when it comes to dating. Maybe thay's why I enjoyed reading this book :)

I have finished Blood on Snow/Midnight Sun. I didn't like Blood on Snow #1 but Midnigt Sun wasn't that predictable :-)

I've just read Dark as My Heart by Finnish writer Antti Tuomainen. A very fine read with all the hallmarks of Scandi-crime - sparsely written, intriguing characters, remote locations - and a very noir story-line.

It was published in the UK this month and has been translated very well as far as I can tell. It's only on Goodreads in it's original language Synkkä niin kuin sydämeni

Hi Angela. I really enjoyed this book although I have this foreboding feeling about Kari's marriage. When I was looking up the next book, I was sad to learn the author has passed away.
I'm so envious of your trip, Finland is on my travel list (I live in the "great white north" so already have a suitable wardrobe...) . Have a great time!

Well Lori, I think you will really like The Stalker. It's about a serial killer filming his victims and showing them on youtube before killing them...

Helen | 140 comments I am readingVictim Without a Face Stefan Ahnhen It is a story set in Sweden. I had no heard of this particular writer but he does a lot of script writing, apparently for Henning Mankell. I am enjoying this book. Perhaps his writing reminds me of Indridason than any other writer. I shall continue to read this and any sequel . Is anyone in the group aware of him?

I was disappointed in The Seventh Child by Erik Valeur it was far to long to read (632 pages) and the action was missing. I like the concept of the 7 children, but it took to long to explain every child. Then you find out how the people died, it makes you disgusted.
