Well, I should say I've been reading a lot less than I should, but here is the reason. It's for you to decide. My wife's brother had two 1950's era MG's and he couldn't keep both of them running, so since my wife has been retired he asked her if she wanted one. When we got married in 1971, his (my wife's brother) father-in-law asked my wife if she'd like to buy one of his cars he was fixing up. We just bought a house, she was maybe 7 months pregnant and we had no money after buying the house. She had to turn him down. Now 50 or so years later he (her brother) asked if she wanted one. Yes, was her answer. So he shipped it up from Tennessee. We happen to have one of the best MG mechanics living kitty-corner from us. Now this is my wife's car and I'm not allowed to drive it. She's supposed to fix it, so she and the neighbor have re-wired it and have put in new hoses and have done several other things. Her car only fits two very old people now and we've driven it around Lake Michigan (1,200 Miles). I don't read while I'm riding with her and that's my excuse. I'm now a MG rider.
I'm presently reading Stolen by Ann-Helén Laestadius it's about the Sami in Sweden. Then i'm going to read The End of Drum-Time by Hanna Pylväinen this is another book about the Sami in Finland. Seem to read similar books for a while. Then to what.....

What a truly delightful reason to read less. My husband of 51 years had a yellow MG when we met. He and his friend both had one and repaired/renovated them. Wonderful memories! So happy for you two enjoying yourselves. Happy 2023 & wishing you both many adventures.

Enjoyed the first book in this series so I have high hopes for this second book.
Just to let you know I'm in Italy for a month and won't be back until the 14th of April 2023. I'll try to put April up but don't count on it.

We'll I'm reading my first book for 2024 called Aednan: An Epic
by Linnea Axelsson but to my amazement it is in poetry but very readable, understanding, and quite amazing. It's about the Sami in Northern Norway, Sweden, and Finland. It's a fun change from the normal stuff.
