Talk about your writing... if you want. Or others writing. :D

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments I'm having writers block... Well, not really. Okay. Yes, but not badly. I have ideas. It's just this one little thing. I can't say what since you people read my story... My brain is melting in anger....

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha, I hate the block so much. Hopefully it will leave soon, so I can have more of your writing Amberlinn! :D

Writer's blocks are a real pain I got them loads with my story but I got some help from family and friends (surprised they put up with me I used to get super annoyed and fed up)

Megan, I thought this was very creative and good. Please do write more.

message 6: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments :D I'm thinking. Have you ever had so many ideas that go through your head and then you try to write one of them and then you don't finish because you start writing another or you forget it? Yeah, that's what's happening. So many ideas....

When I'm on a block, I go and complain to my sister... who usually hits me in the face. It is routine. So then I after I go to her, I don't have block with at least one of my stories.

Hahaha, it gets irritating after a while.

I do kinda know what you mean. My problem is I always know the start and the end to my stories I just have trouble writing the in-between part...

Six-Fingered Nigel | 46 comments Mod
Haha Whitnee, I end up sitting chewing my pen or clicking it on and off (which drives ever craaazy) and staring into space...

message 11: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments I'm having that problem too. Like, I know what I want to happen. How do I get there? I guess I've just keep going with what I have and see what plays out. It'll come to me at some point... I'm hoping to finish this chapter soon.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I chew on my pens too. On Wednesday I'm going to Girl's Camp and I've packed three notebooks and like five pens. I will only be camping for four days. It's funny.

Six-Fingered Nigel | 46 comments Mod
I always end up thinking about ideas late at night when I'm in bed and I'm like: You've got to be kidding me there's no way I'm getting up to write this down... :D

message 14: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments Awe...I'll make sure to write a lot so when you get back, you'll have lots to read.. :D I'll be sure to make the chapter before you go, SUPER suspenceful...

I can't wait! Haha, I'm glad you'll write more so when I get back I will have lots to read.

message 16: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments I want to write like all of my story right now, but you know that would be like 30 more chapters? My fingers would fall off...

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahah that would suck big time.

message 18: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments Yup.. I don't want to rush. But I want to finish. I want you guys to know how it ends...

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

I know the feeling. The wanting to blab until the mouth hurts. It's so hard to hold it all in. But you will survive. *Breaks out in song*

message 20: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments :D Thanks. I will slowly keep pushing. It's getting there...

message 24: by Amber L. (new)

message 25: by Amber L. (new)

Amber L. (amberlinn) | 13 comments And it doesn't taste good.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too, I always tell people it is abnormal to be normal and that I'm perfectly fine with being a weirdo named crazy.

I think I agree with everything you've written on here! haha

And I kinda have writer's block right now, that or laziness. I'm just sooooo fricken busy! I work a 40 hour work week (in the summer!!!) and on top of that I'm taking a 4 day a week math class! (ewwww). I'm SO TIRED!

...okay, I'm done complaining. I think I'm just not that confident in my stories- I like them, but I feel like no on else does :)

So guys I just wrote another chapter for 'Living In A World Of Her Own'

http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/2...

I'm trying out writing in first person so bear with me :D

message 44: by El-Noor (new)

El-Noor (booknerd07) | 23 comments Ok, so with my story, it's really odd because I'm betting most people write from beginning to end. But when I thought up my story, I thought it up in scenes. So I write it in scenes. And I write it in the car, on my ipod. So pretty much the whole thing lives there! :D

And since it's based on actual events, it's a bit easier to write when I get blocked. I can just take something that happened to the people and incorporate my person.

But as to the ending, since it's based on actual events that happened way back when *coughthesixtiescoughcough* I'm not sure what I'm going to do. But I have a pretty good idea.

Oooookay...done! :D

message 45: by MizziQ (new)

MizziQ I usually have an idea of how my characters are going to die/casually dissapear and then write a storyline leading up to that. :)

message 46: by Nate (new)

Nate Good to know I'm not the only one who writes out of sequence. I've been told that this isn't uncommon though. I wrote write whatever is hitting me at the moment and then go back and piece it all together in chronological order.I write on whatever is handy, ITouch, netbook, lab top, notebook, napkins..

My book as well has been based on my life, it is a combination of fiction and actual events, but no one except me and the characters know which events are true and which have been fabricated or modified in one way or another.

Six-Fingered Nigel | 46 comments Mod
Haha I write on anything as well ... my desk has notes written in pencil on it... back of old envelopes is quite a common one for me :D I try and carry paper with me everywhere though... incase the need arises

message 48: by MizziQ (new)

MizziQ And it almost always does. :)

message 49: by Nate (new)

Nate I wrote on my hand once, lol

Six-Fingered Nigel | 46 comments Mod
Well, if there's nothing else to write on...

Oh the joys of being a writer...
