I think he is a great actor, but I can't really say again because I don't know what he is suppose to be like in the books.

oh no actually it's vampire diaries, and yeah Ian Somerhalder is amazing and extremely HOT!! he's the perfect actor for Damon (my favorite vampire character EVER)

he is indeed annoying i think he should just go away or die. he has no importance in the book except being a good friend...... but she has Jace so no need for Simons friendship he should just go away.

you should definitely read them, and if you enjoyed reading them, try the Night World series afterwards. it's by the same author. i love both of them :)
btw vampire diaries is WAY better than twilight, and if you ever hear anyone say that it's a copy of twilight, that's just pure BS, cause the vampire diaries were written back in 1991.

well yea people say lots of books that i love are a copy of Twilight but its not because i HATE Twilight and actually like this...
theres a reason i hate Twilight, i dont hate it just because its so popular, i read it because it was so popular thinkning i would like it but... i didn't...

I only watch the tv show and haven't read the books, but I don't think that it's a mix of either of those. I personally like Twilight (not the movies) better and I'm not that big one Gossip Girl.

okay since you like twilight i really have to ask you a question i've been wanting to ask people who like Twilight for a long time:
Why do you like it..??

First off I liked the paranormal aspect of the book, I have always been into that kind of thing. I liked the romance part of it too ofcourse like most others. On of the things I really liked were the characters in the book. There was a variety of different characters in the books, some of my favourties were Emmett, Jacob(sometimes), James, Alice, Seth, and I like the more evil characters becasue they make things more interesting. Next would be that I like the plot and the comflics between the characters through out the books. It may not be the most complicated or complex plot but I still liked it and it keept me reading everythime a book came out and I have reread them. The fact that it was through the point of view of the main character help for me, I like books like that. I ind that when it is through a charcters view, you are able to relate easier with them and you get more into the book. Also you know everything that they are thinks even if they don't say it. The one thing I'm not big on is everyones sudden obsession with the books. I find that most of them only read them now because everyone else does and for the wrong reasons. Overall I really evjoy these books, any one is free to disagree with me, but I will not change my opinion or thoughts on the books just because other like or don't like it. Everyone has the right to their own opinion and this is just mine.

I don't hate Simon, more think he is extremely annoying. having said that I found this post searching "OMG I HATE SIMON" at particularly annoying moment

Simon very much reminds me of Jake from Twilight. That best friend who remains by your side through hell and back, who loves you beyond words and would do anything for you. Simon was whiney at first, but he grew on me and because he reminds me of Jake, I like him even more now.

i didnt like him in any of the current books (a lil in CoG) but i think ill like him in City of Fallen Angels b/c well he's gonna be aprt of a love triangle now ^^ (i think he should be with Maia btw)

I think we will see a different side of him in CoFA

No, I don't hate Simon. :) In fact, I started liking him more after he became a vampire.

I think that made him a more interesting character, but for me it's hard to say cause I liked him before too.

i love simon..he is sort of the jacob of the mortal instruments but hes so different. though no matter how much i love his character, i do not want to read a whole book in his point of view..i like clary's better and that is what will happen in city of fallen angels coming out april of 2011

actually it's half and half, from both of their points of views ;) so i'm sure you'll still like it.
btw why do people compare twilight to MI?!! i did not like Jacob at all in the series and Simon is my favorite character in MI and i fail to see any similarities between them!! the only thing in common would be the fact that he's in love with the protagonist even though she's in love with someone else already. it's just my opinion though :)

For me, Simon is okay but when I read the first book,i instantly knew that Jace and Clary are perfect for each other and Simon is out of the picture.I don't HATE him,he's just annoying sometimes and I really think that the fourth book should be the continuation of Jace and Clary's story.That's what got me inclined in the first place and I don't think I'll like this fourth book very much unlike the first three books. But I'll still read it though.
