i just don't like it when Simon acts more like a boyfriend rather than a bestfriend. Like when he saw Clary and Jace kissing on the hall.. he acted as if he has authority over Clary. that's why Jace became sarcastic and cocky at Clary after their kiss.

I don't totally blam him there, and I think that even if Simon had just seen them and hadn't said anything like that, I still think that Jace would have acted like that just cause Simon did see them and Jace knew that he liked her.

no he actually acted like that cause Clary all ready had a man in her bed like he said
she said that she had been in bed all they and then Simon came out of the the room and he got pissed
the truth is Jace was hurt by that so he felt like hurting her just like he thinking at the begging of the next chapter
and that was weird for him if had been someone else he wouldn't have carred but he feels something for Clary he hasen't felt for anyone else

Exactly and that's why it really wasn't anyones fault, Jace could have acted better, but since it's all new to him he doesn't really know how to react and he's just sarcastic like that all the time.

They do, but some times they can be taken too far and become all the story is about pretty much, not with these books though.

I think that simon is ok. I mean at first i thought i wanted her to be with simon but i would rather her be with Jace!!

For me it just took a little longer than just seing him once to like him, cause he came off so cocky, but it really didn't take too long before I started to like him.

yeah, even the time she was with Sebastian. she kept thinking about Jace. It's like she compares them to Jace, and ofcourse, we all know there's no competition there. Jace is the winner by default.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Jace was hot, sure, but Simon was the most amazing friend. I liked him more in the begining....but Jace beat him out :P lol

It took me awile to really get the book. (I was listening to it on adio. So it was kinda confusing. But one i got to... the second chapter it made sence.)But I really like Siomon and Clary. They didn't work as boyfriend and girlfreind though. They're better as friends.

Okay everyone has there oppinions on it, but lets move on back to the actual subject of what people think of Simon, and I really don't think that anyone was talking about Twilight resently anyway.

Simon's spinelessness when it came to Clary was his fault as well as his gift. In the end of City of Glass it was left with a skirmish between Maia and Isabelle for Simon’s attention. I’m sure in the book-to-come this area will be explored in depth and his obsession with Clary will be a thing of the past.

I think that that's a safe guess.

I don't know, He still like Clary when they found out that Jace wasn't Clary's brother. He said not to hurt her or something. He still loved her, I'm just not sure what way he loves her.

Oh he definietly still loves her, but I think that he knows that she loves Jace and more than likely won't try to take her from him. But I think that he will always love her in some way or another.

Im interested in what will happen in the next book. Like, whether or not the Love Triangle will come back. I'l love to be able to see things from Simons POV. I love him :)

I do too, I think that it will be interesting to hear things from him.

There is a difference between love and a first time crush. Simon never really had any other flame so his love and adoration to Clary could be overexagerated friendship. If he had truely loved her he wouldn't have checked out Isabelle.
