Someone Knows my Name was published in Canada under the name The Book of Negroes. It's an awesome book. I gave it 5 stars.

Yes - still struggling to decide on the rest & may have to remove Les Miserables from my TBR list (been on the longest) as I can't face reading it!

Another one complete - the one with my name on it. 3 still to be read: biography, longerst on my TBR and a cause dear to me. No idea what to read for the last one.

Have decided my issue will be feminism - plenty of books to choose from!

Just finished reading Galápagos and realised it summed up quite a lot of things I feel strongly about; war, ecology, Western economic devlopement, so I have decided this should be my no 12.

Only one to go - the one longest on my TBR list. Les Miserables got punted into the abandoned list, so it's The Terror of Living: A Novel and I've just ordered a second hand copy from Amazon.
