A World Without Heroes
question
Fablehaven readers-How did you like Beyonders?

I was worried about starting the second series by Brandon Mull simply because I was afraid it wouldn't measure up to the unique and fresh Fablehaven series. So far I am impressed. What do you think?

I thought the book was great, it has lots of Brandon Mull's wit and humor. However, I thought it was a little slower than the Fablehaven books. It didn't feel quite as deep as the issues that Seth and Kendra face (obedience, punishment, etc.). But I am so impressed with this whole new world that Brandon Mull created, and I can't wait to read the next one!
I read Beyonders well before I read the first two books in Fablehaven based solely on people telling me Fablehaven was very good. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with Beyonders. I know it is written for kids, but I still didn't feel that it was very good. Truthfully, Beyonders almost scared me off of Fablehaven which would have been a big mistake. At least the first two books in Fablehaven were much better than Beyonders. Note, I say the first two simply because I have not read the others yet. I will eventually get to the rest of Fablehaven, but I simply will not even bother with any more of the Beyonders books.
Scratch that. I adore both Beyonders and Fablehaven in different ways. I think I connected more with the side characters in Beyonders and more of its messages resonated with me, but I'll always have a soft spot for Fablehaven.
I loved Fablehaven is one of my favorite series. I have read the 1st and 2nd book of Beyonders and I cannot wait to read the 3rd in a few days! I love the adventure and the detail.
I loved fablehaven but the first few chapters of beyonders did not pull me into the book. It just did not seem plausible to me, no hook to get me involved with the characters. I did not like the candy shop war either.
Well I did read book 2 and it was ok I think book 1 did it better but Mull did have to explain a lot in book to so maybe thats why it was so slow. I really hopes if he ends it with book 3 he give it the same going out as Fablehaven...
I did not like Beyonders as much as fable haven but i still liked it
FABELHAVEN is my absolute favourite book in the entire world. I don't think that any book will entirely live up to it. But beyonders was actually really good and left me wanting more. Brandon lived up to my expectations and I'm excited for the next one!!!
yes im so exited the second one came out yesterday and im reading it
I love Fablehaven, but Beyonders was way superior. After I was done with Beyonders and I was reading Darke a book I really, really like, and I was like 'Beyonders is so much better than Darke.'
I have a friend though that likes Fablehaven better.

I had a hard time staying involved in this book. Yes, the writing is good, but something about it did not make so I was dying to pick it up every spare minute, like other books I read.

I enjoyed the Fablehaven series, but this one just didn't rock my world. The characters were okay, but they did not hold my attention very well. Normally I can't wait to read anything I get my hands on, but this book I was not engaged.
I love the Fablehaven series, and Beyonders! They are so good! I love you Brandon Mull!
I was truly surprised at the development of the story. I was never bored. Just when I thought I know where the story was going. Surprise. I can't wait till

I absolutely loved Fablehaven and was a very well written series, and is for people of all ages. However, I believe the Beyonders to be more of a teen

I think Brandon Mull did an excellent job. I liked the characters of the Beyonders series. I loved the Fablehaven books. I think the Beyonders series will be just as much fun!
I was impressed to say the least!! It was a wild ride of witty words... I have to say Brandon Mull did it again, I loved Fablehaven it was fresh and fun it was the kind of world I love to live in, But with the Beyonders this is the kind of world I can soooo take a day trip to.. LOL... I hope book two is just as good...
