The Ridge looks interesting. I'll have to check that one out--I love books with a supernatural element to them.

I'm reading John Connolly's new novella. The Wanderer in Unknown Realms: A Novella. I like it so far, but it's very different from a Charlie Parker novel.

We think so much alike. :)

Yes, we do. :)

Thanks everyone--I just picked this one up, too.

My Shelfari group is reading The Great God Pan this week, which is a short one...so I'm hoping to read both of Kealan's novels this week. Whoohoo for me!
I'm surprised at how much of Saturday Night At Eddie's I remembered as soon as I started COS. To me, that's a sign of a great author. The character came right back to me like that! *snaps fingers*

So CURRENCY is first, then 30 MILES SOUTH? I'm with Charlene on this one--it drives me crazy to read books out of order, even when it "doesn't really matter".

Nice!
And I love the cover!

BTW-I've been thinking of you and your family-sending warm thoughts and good vibes. Best I can do, since I'm not religious. :)

as you know this started mid june

*BIG HUG*

I truly did love them both and rated them both 5 stars.
Thanks so much for the great time I had reading them. :)

Well, i got to the rebirth scene. That was pretty f&$ked up. And of course, I mean that in a good way. I'll definitely write a review...always do. Should be done tonight or tomorrow (working long hours these days)
Also, need a paperback book to bring on vacation with me next week. What do you guys suggest next?

You'll have fun plus nice to get away from home and be somplace completly different :)

If you haven't yet read Currency of Souls, I would recommend it highly. :)

Gone South is a good one."

I just finished McCammon's Gone South. I loved it!
Don't work too hard, Kealan. :)"
Loved Gone South. What a quirky book for McCammon.

It was actually the last one of his books I read. I was not thrilled with his move away from horror. Since, I have had several people advise me to try his newer work. Just not sure if it's up my alley.

Just finished GOAT DANCE by Douglas Clegg. Pretty good.
Also finished THE HOLE by William Meikle, which was fantastic!

Joe Hart is exceptional. I can't find Clegg's Goat Dance. I've been trying to find it at local UBS's and thrift shop. No luck so far. I have a couple of his others though.

I just read your review and the synopsis and it is definitely on my radar now. Thank you, good sir.
