Char I just finished reading Neil Gaiman's Stardust. A magical story that put me in the mind of Boy's Life by Robert McCammon. (It wasn't quite that good, but very close.)

That sounds awesome. I'm going to have to check that one out.

Hans | 63 comments i want to read Lebbon's WHITE, but i want a printed copy, and so far have yet to find one. i am also still waiting for my copy of TURN DOWN THE LIGHTS because i foolishly paid for the higher priced signed and slipcased edition, and the signature plates got lost in the mail... or so mr Chizmar sez :P currently reading volume 24(?) 2013 MAMMOTH BOOK OF HORROR STORIES which has been hit or miss, mostly hit. and Jonothan mayberry's Joe Ledger books starting with PATIENT ZERO , which is formulaic gory fun light reading. when MR MERCEDES comes out in a few months it will be time for a STEPHEN KING binge , also got four Michael Koryta books on deck and two by Jo Nesbo. ( my dad thinks id like mr Nesbo"s stuff, we shall see)

Lee Thompson | 14 comments I'm reading THE SUNLIGHT DIALOGUES by John Gardner. First Gardner I've been tempted not to finish because he gets caught up in the power of his language instead of telling a story. Also handcopying James Lee Burke's RAIN GODS, which has been great so far. Preacher Jack is one wild character. For non-fic I'm reading MYTHOLOGY. Very cool book! Hi, Ila. I agree. James lee Burke is special. And Will Patton is definitely an amazing narrator of his novels. Hand copying is when I take a notepad and pen and copy one of my favorite writers novels word for word. It takes forever but I enjoy it and learn a lot.
