I'm currently reading Lair (Rats, #2) by James Herbert which is The Rats 2.
I'm also reading The Sorrows by Jonathan Janz and The Damnation Game by David Brian . Both of which are impressive slices of dark fiction.

Small town quiet horror with a healthy dose of THE KING IN YELLOW.

I think I've seen every movie version of that book ever made since I first read it in elementary school.

Completely masterful and jaw-droppingly good (although Munro would never use such a cliché).

I listened to the Audible edition of F Paul Wilson's newest book, Panacea while I was at the cabin last week, which was great. Read a few other novellas too.

Char I thought The Hatching was a blast.

I just finished the latest John Connolly Charlie Parker book. I thought it was utterly fantastic, and the darkest entry yet in the series.
Now I'm reading a creature feature featuring slugs. Blighters. FUN!

I really loved A TIME OF TORMENT, the next book in the Charlie Parker series - one of my favorite books of the year so far.

I agree regarding A Time of Torment. I am actually getting nervous as to where John Connolly is going to take Parker's girls.
