Darik Brooks (darikbrooks) | 3 comments Hey, I'm the newbie who is having trouble setting up his tent before it rains. Anyway, I couldn't get Goodreads to upload my Amazon info, so I directed it to B&Noble. It did find my book finally, but it didn't upload my cover image. Is there a size limit for cover images or something else that prevents its loading? Should I just try to refresh the info or is there a way to get my feed from Amazon? Any wisdom appreciated. Thanks, DB

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments B&N images, for some reason, don't come through with the rest of the info...idk what's up with Amazon, I haven't been able to get that to work for me in the last week or so. BUT...that being said, if you have every thing else, you save your image to your hard drive, and add it to the book page, using "edit." The field for adding the image is on the right hand side. :)

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 1568 comments I've never gotten the B&N feed to pull images, and Amazon hasn't worked properly for me to pull info in the past week or so. You can always save the image to your hard drive, then upload it to the book profile page, using the "edit" page. The field is on the right hand side, towards the top. :)

Darik Brooks (darikbrooks) | 3 comments Thanks for the replies; I'll try the other group. I tried uploading the image independently and that went about as well as the b/n loading. No worries, I'll solve it.

Jan (janoda) | 140 comments I believe there was a bug with the Amazon loading of data that should be fixed with the next release, but I've got no idea when that's due.

The Amazon bug was fixed Friday.

B&N does import images, but the process is not the same as for Amazon images, and take a minute or two. If refreshing the book's page after a couple minutes still doesn't show the cover, then edit the book and refresh (not refresh with override) from B&N. That should do the trick most of the time.

Guess I'm an immediate gratification kinda girl. :)

Darik Brooks (darikbrooks) | 3 comments Thanks, you're all quite on top of it. Magically, after I woke up today and logged on, it was all resolved - the book cover was there and everything is fine. I don't even care to know how it happened; it just did.
