Character Cafe

We all know that a good/bad character can make/break a book. There are characters we love, characters we love to hate, and characters we wish would take a long walk off a short peir! But the best characters are the ones that make us come back for more, whether it's for a re-read, or continueing a series, So share with everyone...

Susan Mallery Characters
♦1.Who is your Favorite Susan Mallery Character, and why? Who is your Favorite character EVER?

♦2.Who rubs you the wrong way, and what is that gets under your skin? (Please nice, someone may love this same character)

♦4.Who do you Love Hate? (a cocky hero, a snarky side character, ect)

♦5.Favorite Susan Mallery Couple? What makes them your fav?

♦6.Favorite literary couple of all time? What makes them stand out above the rest?

*You can answer 1 or 2 of these or all of them! Just be respectful of others answers:D

Okay, I'll get it going and answer a few...

1. Fav. SM Character so far is Gracie from Falling For Gracie (Los Lobos, #2) by Susan Mallery love all of the things she did when she was younger to get Riley's attention! Hilarious!!!

2. Fav. SM Couple- Again I'm going with Falling For Gracie (Los Lobos, #2) by Susan Mallery Riley and Gracie are just too cute together:D And I like that they finally got their chance together♥

6. Fav. lit. couple ever is a bit harder...maybe
Cat and Bones from Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost or
Kate and Curran from Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews or
Rob and Kate from The Trouble With Valentine's Day (Chinooks Hockey Team, #3) by Rachel Gibson I don't know!!!! I love them all and there are so many more!lol

Kelly Lynn (lemonpink418) | 189 comments Hmmmmm tough questions!! I think Raoul Moreno is my absolute favorite SM character. He has come such a long way from the troubled foster child he was in Sweet Spot (Bakery Sisters #2) by Susan Mallery to the stand up character he was in Finding Perfect (Fool's Gold, #3) by Susan Mallery . (Doesn't hurt that he's a QB either ;) )

My favorite SM couple, hmmmm that's tough. I kind of like Ethan and Liz because they had to overcome so much in Almost Perfect (Fool's Gold, #2) by Susan Mallery and they were real. They nearly wrecked everything on multiple occasions and came out a little bruised and battered but still made it work.

For some reason I have trouble connecting with Jessie in the third of the Bakery Sisters books. I loved Nicole and Clair, but something about Jessie just didn't work for me.

Oh wow, favorite couple of all-time is hard!! I'll just limit this to favorite I've read in the past year and have at least three.

Mac and Maddie from Marie Force's Maid for Love by Marie Force .

Jacy and Risk from Squeeze Play (Richmond Rogues, #1) by Kate Angell by Kate Angell.

And Callie and Ian from Kristan Higgin's All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins

Shell, I'm right there with you on fave couple of all time. Cat and Bones or Rob and Kate?!? I haven't read about Kate and Curran yet, but its on my ever growing TBR list. I might also have to add Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet to the list.

I haven't read enough of Susan Mallery to chose any characters yet. I'll have to get back to this one later.

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) ♦1.Hmmmm. Favorite SM character is probably Dakota Hendrix. She's strong, educated, and not afraid to step out of her comfort zones. I won't say more for fear of spoiling anything. hehe

♦5. So far I think it's Ethan and Liz. They went through so much and still found love in the end. Cal and Penny are a close 2nd. Same reason.

♦6. Sir Percy and Lade Blakeney from Scarlet Pimpernell - What's not to love. If you haven't read it...add it to your list or at least watch the movie (I prefer the version with Leslie Howard).
Curran and Kate Daniels - Come on...they both kick major butt. He's the complete alpha male, but is still in touch with his feelings when it comes to Kate. He's the complete package! ♥♥♥

There are more...but I'd be here all day.

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) I hate myself for this...because I hated this guy through 3 books...BUT now I think Garth might be my favorite. =/ Kinda love him. Hot On Her Heels (Lone Star Sisters, #4) by Susan Mallery

Hannah | 468 comments ♦1.Who is your Favorite Susan Mallery Character, and why? Who is your Favorite character EVER?

I think it's Gracie from Falling For Gracie. I just loved her. Such a complex chaacter.

♦2.Who rubs you the wrong way, and what is that gets under your skin? (Please nice, someone may love this same character)

Gracie's family. Hateful people. :/

♦5.Favorite Susan Mallery Couple? What makes them your fav?

Riley and Gracie. I love second chance romances and they had me from the beginning but their reunion scene was funny and I loved them from that moment on.

I agree with you on all of these, especially Gracie's family! Yuk what a bunch of babies:(

message 13: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 468 comments Um, Shell, that's being too kind. Those were horrible people who were never redeemed in my eyes. LOL When I re-read I skip everything to do with them. The first time was enough and I can't tell you how many times they made me cry when I was reading. HATE! :/

They actually bothered me more the second time I read it. I think I was more focused on Riley and Grace the first time around, but this time I couldn't get over her family! As a mom I don't think I could send my kid away permantly, maybe let her go somewhere for a few weeks and let things blow over, or if it's that bad I would move with her! And her mom made a really good point, look at how the kids that she didn't raise turned out, as opposed to Gracie that was raised by her aunt and uncle! I will say out of the 3 (mom and sisters) the mom was the most redeemable, I guess people make mistakes, and she did feel extreme remorse and was doing her part to change things...but I wanted to punch all three of them:(

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) I think I'm going to have to add Eric from Bad Boys Do (Donovan Brothers Brewery, #2) by Victoria Dahl . I hate him. I don't want to see him get a HEA. He's a jackass and a douche. It will be very surprising if VDahl can get me to like him in the next book. I feel sorry for any woman who gets stuck with him.

Oh Jen, I felt the same exact way! I was the first to say he was a total douche...but I'm not only loving his book, I'm loving him, and feeling sorry for him, and Jamie is PISSING ME OFF! However because I know the what and why's of Jamies behavior it more just frustrates me that they don't just talk it out! V. Dahl is did a really good job of turning some of Eric's behavoir back around on him and making him pay...and then you get to see what he is thinking when he does and says those things that piss us off so...and then you find out even more about his "place" in the family and I'm starting to really like him! (but I did enjoy the major Karma b*#@h slap he got at the begining of the book!lol) When I first started the book I was thinking I would enjoy Beth and just deal with Eric...but I just love all the Donovans now♥ And Eric and Beth have some major chemistry...so that doesn't hurt;)
