The Sword and Laser discussion

Thanks to Sean O'Hara for sharing this on Google+. This looks like it could be a really good movie. I love the premise.

Looks terrific, and I've actually enjoyed Justin Timberlake in all of his acting roles, much to my surprise.

That said, I never watch a movie for the actor. Actors sometimes choose a role because it lets them be all actorly and emote and whatnot, or they're doing it for the money or for no reason whatsoever. Much better to follow the writer and director. In this case, Andrew Niccol has made some really great SF films in Gattaca and The Truman Show, both eerily prescient.

All to say: I'm in. :)
