This is the thread to talk about your latest book! What makes it a great summer read?

Jan | 4 comments I have just finished reading Late Nights on Air by Elizabeth Hay. The setting (Yellowknife and the wild lonely north), the characters ( unique, flawed people who meet in the summer of 1975 when hired as radio announcers)and the plot (to retrace the steps of an explorer and his group, who had died, leaving a diary behind). This novel has all the elements I enjoy, including humor, stories within stories and an ending I didn't expect.

Anna Small (annasmallbooks) | 3 comments My contemporary romance, Taking A Chance on Forever, is a great summer read, since it takes place in lovely Carmel, CA! Granted, it's cold and rainy through most of the book, but you get to stroll along the beach, listen to the roar of the sea lions, dine in a cliffside bistro with the love of your life, and spend a passionate weekend in a deserted B&B! It's published by Bookstrand, and you can also enjoy a free read on my website, annasmallbooks.com.

My book,"Love; Trust; Friendship; & Family: Four Most Commonly Misunderstood Words in the World Today," will be a great summer read for anyone. Its written to inspire people and help them understand and realize things about love, trust, friendship, and family that so many fell to know and consider. It touch basis on the past, present, and future, what has been, is, and should be done. Its a book that applies to all and should be read by all in order for a difference to be made. My book can be found listed here on goodreads or on lulu.com.

Anthony Bellaleigh (anthonybellaleigh) Firebird is an action thriller set around the Mediterranean seaboard and, to be honest, the original concept came to me whilst sipping on an ice-cool beer on a balmy hotel terrace bar in Kefalonia... It might be just the thing to keep the blood pumping and pulse racing whilst gentle waves lap onto a sandy beach in front of you?

Myth has been unleashed, now it’s after blood. Suddenly we're not at the top of the food chain and Mike Hudson is the only person on the planet who can do anything about it...

Barbara Elsborg Not my newest book but definitely a summer read - Digging Deeper is a romantic comedy set in West Yorkshire in the UK. It's the story of an archeology dig that goes very wrong!!
