Yvette | 124 comments I tried looking to see if there were groups with this topic but I couldn't find anything, nor in listopia could I find what I wanted...so I thought that I'd come to the people here. Ya'll seem to have all the answers when it comes to books lol...

Okay, so a few days ago I read a book called, Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour #1) by Olivia Cunning , I didn't know that it was an erotic novels (though I should have looked into it more before buying). Okay, so I loved the concept of the band and music in general.

Also a book that I LOVED was If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman and Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman . I absolutely loved these two books and I want something similar or something else that involves music.

I realize these aren't paranormal, though, If I Stay could be considered it I guess.

Any help would be really great.

Thanks in advance!!

Mairead | 164 comments What about Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater by Maggie Steifvater. Sam makes up songs in his perspectives, and the sequel Linger had plenty of nods to musical influences, Like Elliot Smith.
It's a great book.

Yvette | 124 comments I actually read a little bit of that book and it didn't catch my interest. Maybe i'll try it again though.

Thanks!

Mairead | 164 comments I'm curious about what other books will be suggested, because I loved the musical elements of Gayle Foreman's books. Adam has spectacular taste in music in Where she went. It's now my favourite playlist :)

I've tried looking for books similar to Gayle's work, but I can't find anything, that's why I came on here. I just loved how they both loved music so much and the struggles they went through.

Mairead | 164 comments Oh, The Sky is Everywhere is great and it's about grief, like If I stay, but the characters are in Band, so there's music in it too...forgot about that one :)

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments Lisa Schroeder's The Day Before talks about music a lot and is very similar in writing style to Gayle Foreman.
Also Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready has music in it and is more YA Paranormal, both really good reads!
Lisa Schroeder also has another book called I Heart You, You Haunt Me that is written the same way with mention of songs and music as well.

Yvette | 124 comments Just finished reading, I Heart You, You Haunt Me, and I cried. I'm such a sucker when it comes to teenage love and loss!

I can't imagine losing my husband like that. Even though we don't always get along and yes he isn't perfect, I love him with everything I have!

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments I cried too! I cried with her next one too but not nearly as bad and it wasn't as emotional in that same sense.
But I completely know how you feel! I am so glad you liked it though!! I just love her books, they are amazing!
