I like Twilight more because it's fun. It's stupid, the writing is bad, the prose is so purple the book practically leaks plum juice, the dialogue is stiff and unnatural, the plot is barely there and doesn't make sense half the time, Bella and most of her supernatural amigos are Mary Sues, and all of characters feel more like parodies of stock paranormal romance characters than actual characters. In the end it's so bad it's good. I laughed, I laughed so hard I cried, and sometimes I wanted to hit my face against the wall because of the stupidity, but at least it got a reaction out of me, which is more than Fallen got.

Morganville Vampires! No love triangles. But I'd actually kill for one! I'm on book 10. One more comes out this year and one next year. It's a great, fun series. You never know what's going to happen and it's always exciting in Morganville. You should check it out.

I've heard good things about that series. I think I'll look it up once I finally get my hands on the other two books I've been waiting to read. Being a broke has wreaked havoc on my reading list.

If I had to choose I'd go for the Fallen series I think. Because they keep improving, the plot is actually going somewhere, the books give more variation. Which Twilight could've used too, desperately. It's not until 'Breaking Dawn' Twilight gets better, Bella stops being the dependent girl and finally starts to live.
And why is everybody talking about the love-triangle in Twilight? If you've READ the books, you know Bella's thoughts on Jacob. He's a friend to her. If you've ever been in love, you know your heart only wants one thing, and this is not the era you have to settle for a loveless but sensible marriage. I actually felt along with Bella, experiencing my first love over again, feeling depressed when things didn't go the way I hoped.
'Fallen (1)' was kind of looong, it didn't pick up its pace until the end, when things got epic. 'Torment' was better, Luce started working on her newly discovered powers, no matter how stupid that might have been. At least she didn't sit around and wait for her hero to come home and rescue her. (I hate to admit that *I* probably would've sat and waited too, when I was 17, but I like Luces's style better.) In 'Passion' many things happen, I loved looking into all of Luce's former lives. I would've done the same. And now she finally really understands her feelings and can accept that it'll always be Daniel she wants. It feels more mature than Bella's unhealthy, clingy crush.
So apart from the teen girl headsubjects in the books (honestly: ALL YA books have teen girls in them!) and their crushes on 'supernatural guys' (Again: most of these books are about vampires and angels, it's the trend. You know that beforehand when you choose to read this book) I don't think these books should be compared.
What's next, we're gonna compare the 'Fallen' books to the 'Hush Hush' series too then???
Oh and if you wanna read a *properly* written book, of an author who takes your reading skills seriously: try 'Clockwork Angel' by Cassandra Clare. It's about vampires, people who can change, demonhunters, angels, etc. Set in Victorian England.

sometimes i wanted to hit my face against the wall. ahaaaaahaaaaa

I also think it is funny to keep comparing books, but we share the funny act by serving the question with our answers...:)

I actually asked this exact question! but because I was interested, not for fun, or anything...

No offense to those who love Twilight, but I thought Edward was sort of gay.
I think Fallen is way better. I just don't understand why Daniel falls for the same person with varying personalities.. I didn't really like the Helston version of Luce

Well put Miss Hobbs

Well put Miss Hobbs"
Thank you. I try :)

I said I would read it!!
Gahh!! Fine I'll read it before I read Torment. Be like that, Your just jealous about being a Weenie!!

I love Hunger Games and Fallen. Hunger Games is a very good dystopia novel and I love the angel-human story in Fallen. Twilight is a good romance novel with awful fantay world. Such a messy vampire story.

Hunger games was brought in because Jazz likes more Bloody gore kinda books. So I told her to read the hunger games<3

Oh...okay. Perhaps I enjoyed reading Hunger Games too much I did not have the series related to a bloody gore kind. I think the baby part (pregnancy & delivering) in Twilight is worse.

I figured they do a fade to black or have a lot of close ups of the various characters faces as they run around looking panicked, distressed, worried, and determined, kind of like in those hospital dramas on TV.

Gosh Molly your too Smart!"
Thanks!
I don't see how else they could have the scene be even remotely close to the book without doing something like that. At least not without seriously pressing the rating.

Twilight was veeery Good..
New Moon was hmm.....dramatically boring...
Eclipse was so and so...
and Breaking Dawn was wow!!!!
Fallen and Torment (i read those only) are reeeeally cool but sth annoys me...maybe daniel that pains luce..
I'll have to choose fallen (it seems more "reality') though i'm thinking right now of VA and Mortal Instruments!

LOL because then Edward would be sad and depressed. He'd try to kill himself and then I'd be sad!
