Yeah probably lol I mean I didn't read it when it first came out and I didn't even read the first book until the second movie was coming out. I dunno, I thought I started hearing Saga all the time because of the movies. The movies actually didn't ruin the series for me like it did for many others. They weren't amazing because they were low budget and I feel like the screenwriter changed things too much. But honestly, I still like the books. I can't say their the best things ever and their my number one series, but I still like them. =)

Thelma Twilight for sure...no contest! :D

I noticed a stunning similarity between Luce and Bella...both of them overly self-involved to the point that no matter WHAT happens around them it's always all about "It's all MY fault" (oh gag). Having said that though, I want to say I love both series. On the other hand, there are several times I could have clobbered either heroine for her all out selfish thoughtless actions that brought bad consequences to everyone who cared for them. In that sense I think Edward should have looked for someone else poor guy, and Daniel truly must be a saint to keep going through lifetimes to have Luce!

message 105: by Nurlely (last edited Aug 22, 2011 06:45PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nurlely Daniel did not need to be a saint. He was more than that. He was an angel....:)

Bella is much worse. Bella would kill herself to see Edward. As miserable as she was when Daniel was not around, Luce would not do that silly thing to see Daniel. Luce was not faithful for kissing Miles when she was sad but she regretted it while Bella kissed Jacob for not losing him and wanted both Edward and Jacob.

message 106: by Cristine (new) - added it

Cristine The way they are written, Fallen is not comparable to Twilight. I finished Twilight in one sitting. Fallen dragged. I just don't get the writing style of Lauren. I feel the development of the story is extremely slow.

message 107: by Emily (new) - rated it 5 stars

Emily i like both series well enough, except with twilight i read all four books in like three weeks and fallen i have had the third book ofr like a month know and just cant bring myslef to read it and i have no idea why? maybe it was the ending to torment i didnt like it that much but still, hoping ill get the passion to read passion.

message 108: by [deleted user] (new)

If any are interested in another "take" on the fallen angel thing, I recommend you have a look at Thomas Sneigoski's "Fallen" There are four books in the series about a main character, Aaron and his transition to half angel, half human. This author wrote the original Buffy and has another nice series based on an angel on earth, the Remy Chandler series. They are all YA and very exciting to read. ABC even did a 13 episode series based on the books. The lead actor later became Stephan on the Vampire Diaries...

message 109: by Toni (new) - rated it 5 stars

Toni i like both books but at the end of the day twilight is my fav of all time im a big edward lover and i have and can read them over and over again but i dont think i could do that with the fallen books

message 110: by Joy (new) - rated it 2 stars

Joy Please..this isn't even a competition...Twilight..hands down...Fallen totally sucked..no comparison..

message 111: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, it's good to see people have strong favorites!

Nurlely I only like Edward from Twilight series. Other characters are just so lame. Bella is so stupid and Jacob is incredibly lame. And its fantasy is unbelievably annoying. What came as a fresh thought, a sparkly vampire ended up with the weirdest idea. Twilight should come up as romance books. Calling its fantasy is absurd.

I like most of the characters in Fallen. Even the obnoxious bitchy Shelby. Except the lame Miles.

Rebekah Fallen i love how its one of those figure how deep they r in love books. i have read fallen and twilight but in all i choose fallen.

Hollyddunn As long as we are talking books, Twilight. The moves, ugh don't even get me started. They really were good stories. Bella is just annoying and whiny other than her the books are great. I've only read Fallen and just getting into Torment so I can't say for sure cause I don't know all about this one. From what I've read so far I like it and I want to see where the rest of this story goes, should be interesting.

message 115: by Me (new) - rated it 4 stars

Me Myself Definitely Fallen because the writing way better and Luce is a far stronger character than Bella

message 116: by J.D. (new) - rated it 3 stars

J.D. Field Luce actually bugs me a bit as well. I think they've got stuff in common, just drifting around falling in love with guys and not thinking about anything.

message 117: by J.D. (new) - rated it 3 stars

J.D. Field Actually, alos the books have got in common that they're super slow...

message 118: by vasiliki (last edited Sep 09, 2011 01:26PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

vasiliki um to be honest i can't really choose between them...yeah twilight may be a bit cheesy but there's edward<3 n' fallen may be a bit confusing but there's cam<3..so let's say that i love them both!!:]

message 119: by Donna (last edited Sep 09, 2011 01:54PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Donna I choose Twilight. I have read all the books so far to both book series and I find Fallen to be a Twilight adaptation. I know some people said that Twilight was messy, but I implore people to look at the Fallen series again. I read, and re-read those books and I am still confused as to what the heck was going on. Furthermore, it said the same thing over and over and over. Fallen was okay, but the last book went was so far off the mark that I was upset I even spent money on it. WHen you try to do things that are beyond what you have truly thought out, it shows. FOr me the was definitly front and center in Fallen. Twilight is a little bit better than Fallen, but I agree that it too can get a bit contrived (all the ppl crazy over it certainly doesn't help).
I cant say how dissimilar they are because they seem to have the same basic premise of a young girl in love with some immortal molester. However, Twilight grew in a way that Fallen didnt.

Erin-Yvonne I like the Twilight saga better, a lot of you made some great points about both books that I agreed with.
@Shelby, my perfect guy isn't a sparkly vampire, he's greasy and hard working and when he comes home he smells like sweat and axel grease and he's the funniest man I've ever met and his kids love him so much that they cry themselves to sleep because he's a Marine in Afghistan.

message 121: by Dayan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dayan Fallen is the most better than twilight.
I hate vampires bright.

Shruthi FALLON IS THE BEST I HATE TWILIGHT!

oh my. not much like edward cullen then...

Dominus~ Hmmm...I can't decide but I have to for the SAKE of Mr. six pack abs JACOB BLACK and Mr. sizzling hot CAMERON BRIEL or CAM (for short)...

I choose FALLEN because CAM is more freaking COOLER than anybody else and I don't care if you twinkle in the sun as long as there's a CAM.

FOR THOSE WHO LOVE CAM, anyway:

message 125: by Nicole (new) - rated it 1 star

Nicole They have some different point of views, so I guess that's the reason I cannot compare them both.

message 126: by Lucy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lucy K Fallen all the way

message 127: by Katarina (new) - added it

Katarina Eriksson BOTH..
they are two completely different books!!!!.. and I'm so f-ing tired of people comparing everything with Twilight

message 128: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan I used to be obessed with the twighlight books and nothing else but i've read a lot of books since last summer and i see no just how rubbish they are. and vapmire fans should read the morganville vampires and house of night.

message 129: by Ally (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ally FALLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twilight seems pathetic compared to Fallen and all these other fantastic books like Mortal Instruments and Hush, Hush. Twilight was sort of a stepping stone. We can't forget it, but there's more to YA books than Twilight.

message 130: by Lucille (last edited Sep 18, 2011 03:10PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lucille Ally wrote: "FALLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twilight seems pathetic compared to Fallen and all these other fantastic books like Mortal Instruments and Hush, Hush. Twilight was sort of a stepping stone. ..."

I do agree. Twilight was the first YA book I read. It introduced YA books to me. But like you said, it's not the best book, there's more to YA than Twilight.

FALLEN, definitely.

message 131: by Kimi (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kimi Yeah I didn't care for Fallen very much. I didn't love it. I thought the first and third were okay. But honestly with Twilight I loved the first and third and thought the other two were okay. Fallen dragged to me and I really didn't understand many decisions that the protagonist made. It bothered me a lot.

WinterRose I don't like comparing books but if I had to answer based on which one I liked better, definitely Twilight.

I thought Luce (Fallen) was one of the most boring characters I've ever read. Bella, at least, made me feel something toward her. Sometimes not so positive, but still, I felt SOMETHING. With Luce...nothing.

Fallen dragged and dragged. I thought Bella found out about Edward at a decent time in the book, whereas Luce doesn't realize what's going on till the end. Either she's really stupid or the author tried very hard to want readers want the sequel.

Didn't work for me.

Brigette Ragland I honsetly have 2 say i do not like twilight i never read the books but i seen the movies n i thought the movie was dumb n tht made me not wont 2 read the books... I love The Fallen Series!!! when i 1st started readin Fallen i was like ok wats up w/ Luce likin Daniel she just saw him n i honsetly laughed when he flipped her off but then i wondered y he did tht after readin the book i understood it I never got bored readin it i almost started cryin bout Todd n Penn but Fallen ISS WAYYY BETTER THAN twilight (no offese (sry if i miss spelled tht word im not a "good" speller) 2 twilghit fans, i do love Jacob)

Vera the Escutcheon of Wolves I honestly think Fallen is better than Twilight, cause Twilight has "sparkling" vampires...Now really??? Being a vampire doesnt mean you sparkle, means your a hard core killer :) Fallen is more mi style it makes sense and its more alive with character and truths ^.~

message 135: by Siam (new) - rated it 3 stars

Siam Campbell Fallen was a bad book but epic characters and Twilight was a good book but bad movie. I don't know between Fallen or Twilight because they are both different.

message 136: by Nurlely (last edited Sep 27, 2011 01:37AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nurlely I am not fond of Twilight. I watched the movie simply for all the vampires. The shifters are all about muscles. It's like watching Mr Universe contest.

I regretted my decision for reading Twilight series. The first book is okay but the sequels are boring and weird. What I thought so funny and fresh about the diamond-sparkling vampires has ended up into something ridiculous.

Taylor Mc i love twilight but i have to go wioth fallen !

Kathryn the fallen series is way better!!!!!!!!!!

Elizabeth Schrader Fallen. Hands down.

message 140: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan well i love the FALLEN seris i love it, TWILIGHT books are ok but i prefer the TWILIGHT movies better.

Ranisha Fallen for me was very boring and dragged, I still need to read #3. I have just been putting it off. On the other hand, I have read the Twilight Saga about 8 or 9 times. Twilight Saga is better then Fallen in my opinion.

message 142: by Erin (new) - rated it 3 stars

Erin I didnt get through very far of Fallen and didnt like it!

Nurlely Fallen is a good fantasy series while Twilight is romance. Its fantasy was probably fresh at the beginning (with the sparkling vampires) but is getting worse and worse to the end.

message 145: by Morgan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Morgan I think I really like Fallen better although I was and still am a big twilight fan ever since all the movies have come out it just seems to me like twilight is getting old and I don't know what it was about Fallen that I like so much more maybe just because it's newer to me I don't know, but I like Fallen more.

message 146: by Carly (new) - rated it 4 stars

Carly I think fallen because to me its a better story line, more in depth and for me more likeable characters! ;)

Gabriele I started to fall in love with fallen right now, so it's THE book in my head. I love Twilight, but after the second book things get a bit boring for me, I think the story is great, but Stephenie tried too hard to fill four books. And Lauren wrote two amazing books - i haven't read Passion yet - with love and everything. So right now, my choice is Fallen.

message 148: by [deleted user] (new)

Shelby wrote: "I honestly think that they are both horribly written.

So true... Plus both girls are brainless and need guys to protect them. Seems a little old fashioned in that aspect, don't you think?

message 149: by [deleted user] (new)

Jacob wrote: "Sahana wrote: "I agree with Alexandra. Twilight is really, really cheesy. I felt like the whole "love" thing between Edward and Bella was tremendously sudden and it was just soo....fake. It got sor..."

I agree...

A Romance Book Lover Since the choice is between Fallen and Twilight I would hands down choose Twilight. Not because I think that it was the best book ever kinda feelin' but because Fallen was one of the absolute worst books I've ever read!
I'll read the rest of the series just to find out if it gets any better and to know what happens but I am seriously dreading it. I've NEVER dreaded reading a book before, even in school!
