Fallen or Twilight?

Hahaha. For commercial purposes? Bad option."
Yeah probably lol I mean I didn't read it when it first came out and I didn't even read the first book until the second movie was coming out. I dunno, I thought I started hearing Saga all the time because of the movies. The movies actually didn't ruin the series for me like it did for many others. They weren't amazing because they were low budget and I feel like the screenwriter changed things too much. But honestly, I still like the books. I can't say their the best things ever and their my number one series, but I still like them. =)
I noticed a stunning similarity between Luce and Bella...both of them overly self-involved to the point that no matter WHAT happens around them it's always all about "It's all MY fault" (oh gag). Having said that though, I want to say I love both series. On the other hand, there are several times I could have clobbered either heroine for her all out selfish thoughtless actions that brought bad consequences to everyone who cared for them. In that sense I think Edward should have looked for someone else poor guy, and Daniel truly must be a saint to keep going through lifetimes to have Luce!

Bella is much worse. Bella would kill herself to see Edward. As miserable as she was when Daniel was not around, Luce would not do that silly thing to see Daniel. Luce was not faithful for kissing Miles when she was sad but she regretted it while Bella kissed Jacob for not losing him and wanted both Edward and Jacob.

If any are interested in another "take" on the fallen angel thing, I recommend you have a look at Thomas Sneigoski's "Fallen" There are four books in the series about a main character, Aaron and his transition to half angel, half human. This author wrote the original Buffy and has another nice series based on an angel on earth, the Remy Chandler series. They are all YA and very exciting to read. ABC even did a 13 episode series based on the books. The lead actor later became Stephan on the Vampire Diaries...

Well, it's good to see people have strong favorites!

I like most of the characters in Fallen. Even the obnoxious bitchy Shelby. Except the lame Miles.

I cant say how dissimilar they are because they seem to have the same basic premise of a young girl in love with some immortal molester. However, Twilight grew in a way that Fallen didnt.

@Shelby, my perfect guy isn't a sparkly vampire, he's greasy and hard working and when he comes home he smells like sweat and axel grease and he's the funniest man I've ever met and his kids love him so much that they cry themselves to sleep because he's a Marine in Afghistan.

oh my. not much like edward cullen then...

I choose FALLEN because CAM is more freaking COOLER than anybody else and I don't care if you twinkle in the sun as long as there's a CAM.
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE CAM, anyway:

(NO OFFENSE MEANT)

they are two completely different books!!!!.. and I'm so f-ing tired of people comparing everything with Twilight

I do agree. Twilight was the first YA book I read. It introduced YA books to me. But like you said, it's not the best book, there's more to YA than Twilight.
FALLEN, definitely.

I thought Luce (Fallen) was one of the most boring characters I've ever read. Bella, at least, made me feel something toward her. Sometimes not so positive, but still, I felt SOMETHING. With Luce...nothing.
Fallen dragged and dragged. I thought Bella found out about Edward at a decent time in the book, whereas Luce doesn't realize what's going on till the end. Either she's really stupid or the author tried very hard to want readers want the sequel.
Didn't work for me.

I regretted my decision for reading Twilight series. The first book is okay but the sequels are boring and weird. What I thought so funny and fresh about the diamond-sparkling vampires has ended up into something ridiculous.

So true... Plus both girls are brainless and need guys to protect them. Seems a little old fashioned in that aspect, don't you think?

I agree...
I agree...

I'll read the rest of the series just to find out if it gets any better and to know what happens but I am seriously dreading it. I've NEVER dreaded reading a book before, even in school!
