Neither of us were looking to hook up with anyone, but I met my husband on myspace.........back when it was actually about the music and not a place for obnoxious (sp?) bitchy teen girls to bully each other. We'd have never met if not for me supporting my brother's band on myspace. He is truly the half that completes me. They say you find someone when you quit looking and he slipped right into my life and neither of us has ever regretted it.

That's a nice story Angela. Meeting someone nice is always a challenge, no matter how old you are. There's a guy I went to school with who didn't get married until he was 45. His mother thought that he would never get married. He married a girl 10 years younger than he is. They just had their first (and only according to him) baby.
However, I have young adults, 25, 23, and 20. None of them are currently dating. I know my 25 year old is looking. My 20 year old is too busy to be in a relationship. God only knows about the 23 year old. She doesn't let me know she's dating someone until they have gone out together more than 2 or 3 times.

If I was single... I’d go speed dating. I’m dying to go speed dating, I’m waiting for one of my single friends to work up the nerve so I can go with her.

Dog parks. Dog parks are the best for meeting people... the first few times I went I thought everyone was just soooo nice, guys always wanting to throw the dog’s ball for me; my sister in law had to point out that they weren’t necessarily just being nice. Some of my single friends borrow my dog from time to time, works like a charm :)

Faced with speed dating or a root canal I'd pick the root canal. I probably shouldn't say that since I have a teeth cleaning next week.
