I think it would be nice if this group could act as a book club. Participation would not be mandatory. You could read the book/books one month and not another. It might be a good idea to read one book as a group and one related book on our own. I was in a book club that did that, and it seemed to work well for discussion. We could try having a monthly author, or a monthly genre - or both. If anyone has any suggestions for group reads please feel free to comment. This is a very new group and any other suggestions for group activities would also be welcome. :)

I think we might try keeping the books for each book up for two months, but adding new books each month. That way if someone doesn't get to a book they can still join the discussion later, and those who have already read it can start something new. Does this sound ok? I am hoping we can start group reads in September. Any suggestions? If one of the authors in our group would like us to try one of their books I think that would be a good idea. :)
I added a poll for September reads. Please feel free to vote there or add books here. Participation is not mandatory, so if a book you don't like is selected, you can skip it. I will be adding more than one book; Hopefully everyone will like one of them. :)
I added the three September books voted for in the poll to the shelf to-read, but I can still add another if someone would like to read something different.
September first, I just got a little overexcited.
The group books for September are: (picked from the poll)
The Mercanary's Marriage - by Rachel Roassano
2 votes 50.0%
Honor - by Jaimey Grant
1 vote 25.0%
Sing the Light - by Louise Marley

Excellent. Thanks for sharing. :)

My publisher gave me a 50% off coupon (Smashwords) just for anyone in this group who'd like to read Honor. Go here: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... and use code PP45S in your cart to get it for $1.50.
Thanx again and happy reading, everyone!
