Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) btw Shadowfever isn't the last one.
KMM is writing 5 more fever books in total, 3 where Dani, Christian and Ryodian are the main characters and then 2 more after that where Mac and Barrons are the lead characters again

what is the other fever series? I've never heard of another Fever series.

Rea The Dani trilogy has a name now. It's Iced or something like that. If it's all written in Dani's voice, I'm not sure how I'll manage as her parts in Mac's books always left me drained due to how fast she'd just switch topic all the time!

(Checked and the book is called Iced, the trilogy is very originally called "Dani O'Malley Fever Trilogy" XD)

Going back to the Barrons is a bully thing, he kinda is. I know he's got his own reasons for it, but especially in the third book when he was using the Voice on Mac to force truths out of her, I was really conflicted in my opinion of him. I felt like he was kinda mentally raping her! :(

It's ok, he redeemed himself.

Did you guys/gals read the sex scene in his PoV?

Karina Kantas | 18 comments didn't anyone get embarrassed with how sexual it gets?

BTW loved the books. Would love to meet someone like Barrons.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) The series isn't called Dani O'Malley Fever Trilogy that was just the working title, it's Fever World

No I didn't get embarrassed with the books at all. It just doesn't bother me in books

Actually, I did get a little embarrassed at first. It was the first adult themed book that I had ever read. But I got over it really fast. Now some of the books I read make Fever look like YA.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) See I actually started out reading Adult books (non-paranormal) and then when I found Paranormal books, I got into YA books so I guess I was used to the Adult themes books so I didn't get embarassed.
I'd also read Storm Born before Fever and the Divine series by PC Cast. After the Divine series, you really can't get embarassed with books haha

Karina Kantas | 18 comments How can anyone class the Fever series as YA?

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) it's not YA at all. I never said it was classed as YA

Diana Stormblessed (dashichka) | 36 comments Karina - LadyHawk wrote: "How can anyone class the Fever series as YA?"

Its not YA. I was just just saying that now the stuff I read makes Fever look tame, because I've gotten used to those kind of books. But no, it is definitely not YA, at all.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) LOVE it! Most addicting series ever!

message 229: by Zee (new)

Zee I haven't read it yet:)
Ahhhhhhh!

message 230: by Rea (new)

Rea I've heard the series described as being on that rocky ledge between YA and adult. I feel that it's aimed at adults, though. After all, most YA novels feature a YA protagonist and Mac's, what? 23? Something like that. I consider it more urban fantasy than paranormal (for me, the distinction tends to be that paranormal focuses on romance a lot more than UF).

I gave Darkfever to a friend to read but he's a guy and I think Pink Mac might be a bit girly for him! ;)

I agree with you, Rea. Adult urban fantasy. I doubt the series has many male readers.

I would never consider this series YA. Not even on the ledge. The graphic sex and the age of the characters is def outside the YA scope, and isn't that what defines YA?

Rea Karina - LadyHawk wrote: "I agree with you, Rea. Adult urban fantasy. I doubt the series has many male readers."

Aye, the first three books don't have much romance to them at all! Nothing like what you get in the paranormal romance series out there. My friend enjoyed A Discovery of Witches, so I figured there'd be no harm giving this one to try! He hasn't had time to start it yet, though.

Diana (Mrs. Barrons, mistress to Mr. Grey) wrote: "I would never consider this series YA. Not even on the ledge. The graphic sex and the age of the characters is def outside the YA scope, and isn't that what defines YA? "

That's pretty much how I see it, too. Dani is only 14 (she turned 14 in Shadowfever, right?) though, so I wonder how Moning will deal with having a much younger protagonist. Will Dani's trilogy still be aimed at a pretty much exclusively adult market, like Mac's story, or will it be acceptable reading for older teens? I'm kinda hoping she keeps it aimed at adults as Dani's story won't make sense if you haven't read Mac's story first anyway, and I liked the Fever books as they were.
