What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I don't remember the author or the title of any of the books in this series. I know it's fantasy. The boy discovers magic but I can't tell you how.I remember that there are lines all around us of power you can tab into and he also gets a dragon in the first book. The demon is a good guy and helps him along the way learn and they explore dimensions together. They end up living at a biazze that is on another planet and the front of the tents are is one dimension and the back of the tents are in other dimensions. Along the way from the different books they meet new funny and odd characters, vampires, kingdoms, and ugly lady with special rings.

My father had 4 of the books when I was in high school and I loved reading them but he doesn't remember what they were and neither do I. I'd love to find these books again and add them to my library. They would be a great series to pass down to my kids when they get older.

This sounds like the Myth Adventures series by Robert Asprin. Main character's are the demon Aahz and his human apprentice Skeeve, with Skeeve's pet dragon Gleep.
