Maybe check out other people's lists Michael to help with your suggestions. Do you have lots of books you own that haven't been read yet? I sat down with the list of challenges, and read the blurbs/checked out the covers on mine to see what I could match up. Spring means 'new beginnings' so anything along those lines might help....

I found this challenge HARD until I started to push it...And i think pushing it will work overal :)

So I have collected a very Aussie orientated list - I planned ages ago to read lots of Australian this year and so far I have read one. Opps. So I'm going to join the True Blue Challenge and combine it with a Spring of reading Aussie authors. Well maybe nine - I might switch the released in Spring to a NZ book. When I started to think about it the challenge was actually quite fun and not as hard as it first seemed.

1. Spring clean Eucalyptus: A Novel

2. New Life Cloudstreet - a new start?

3. Spring Image On the Jellicoe Road - this was hard at first but lots of trees and yellows...

4. Livestock Pastures of the Blue Crane - Hmmm my copy has livestock on it

5. Spring release date - Empire Day by Diane Armstrong to be released on 1st Spetember but if I don't get hold of that in NZ Hand Me Down World is due to be released in paperback - maybe cheating...

6. Red/Yellow Cover The Songlines - my cover has a red and yellow painting on it - very Aussie looking

7. YA The Book Thief

8. Horses The Riders

9. Starting with M for Megan Monkey Grip Though to get hold of this I will have to ask my university to borrow it from one in Aust! Nice they do that for me tho

Just have to read my final book for the Winter challenge now...

It's amazing just how many books on my book shelf don't have a proper blurb and are too busy telling you how wonderful the author is instead. I was pretty much working from the titles and picture on the front cover! To tell the truth I have no idea what Cloudstreet is about but it said it started with a new beginning...and then started listing praise for Tim Winton.

Someone making a new life for themselves is fine....as I said, think outside the square, stretch the meaning a bit...that's the idea of making you think about the meaning:)

Have a read of the previous posts of lists, and pick out some double meanings there...it's easy to adapt, a challenge in itself:)
