Wow, that sounds scary about the bus sliding across the road!!! Not nice at all. I guess the weather has taken most people by surprise, so no chains on tyres etc!

Maybe check out other people's lists Michael to help with your suggestions. Do you have lots of books you own that haven't been read yet? I sat down with the list of challenges, and read the blurbs/checked out the covers on mine to see what I could match up. Spring means 'new beginnings' so anything along those lines might help....

You're right there Amanda..thanks:)

It's amazing just how many books on my book shelf don't have a proper blurb and are too busy telling you how wonderful the author is instead. I was pretty much working from the titles and picture on the front cover! To tell the truth I have no idea what Cloudstreet is about but it said it started with a new beginning...and then started listing praise for Tim Winton.

question:
with the new life one does it actually have to be a baby of some kind or can it be like some one making a new life for themselves?
I might be trying to cheat here

Someone making a new life for themselves is fine....as I said, think outside the square, stretch the meaning a bit...that's the idea of making you think about the meaning:)
Have a read of the previous posts of lists, and pick out some double meanings there...it's easy to adapt, a challenge in itself:)

You should choose The Knife of Never Letting Go for your YA book, Melanie. I suppose that could me classified as 'new life' as well, because Todd tries to make a new life for himself...
