Jenny (notestothemoon) | 846 comments I've found this website where you can swap unwanted books! I've decided to get rid of the ones I'm not planning on reading anymore.

Jaime | 240 comments I'm a member of paperback swap and love it! I think it may only be for those who live in the USA at this point though. I've gotten rid of many books that I no longer needed and gotten quite a few books I'd been looking for. The only cost is what it costs you to mail a book (it's usually somewhere between $2.10 and $2.80). The name of the site is paperback swap but you can trade hardcovers too. I've even gotten several recently released hardcovers through the site. I highly recommend it! The web site is www.paperbackswap.com.

Jenny (notestothemoon) | 846 comments Thanks Jaime for naming an american site. The one I suggested is just for the UK I think.

Heidi Yes readitswapit is just for the UK, and its fantastic! I've been a member for ages and built up loads and loads of books through it.....haven't read them all yet though....

Melissa (melitious) I belong to Bookmooch.com (very much like paperbackswap.com) -- it's working out great for me. I've already gotten rid of about 10 of my books and have received 3, with another 4 on the way.

Jenny (notestothemoon) | 846 comments For anyone that's used readitswapit or infact any book swapping website. Do I need a large amount of books for it to work. Not had any swapping luck as yet. Probably because I'm being fussy about what I want to swap things for.

Kellie (acountkel) I belong to all 3
Bookcrossing, Bookmooch and Paperbackswap
I have received and given lots and lots of books!

Heidi Jenny

You don't need a huge amount of books for it to work, although obviously the more choice you have available for people to swap with, the better. Having said that, if people have humongous lists of books, it can put you off too, if you have to trawl through loads in the hope of finding something....
