King of the Wastes Just discovered that Book 8 in the Hell Divers series was released...Woohoo! Love this series...it just gets better and better with each book!

I finally went back to The First Law world. Now I'm nearly down with The Heroes. I liken it to the Gettysburg battle but with swords and a little magic. The whole book is one three-day battle with a little aftermath. I highly recommend it.

Just finished listening to The Lost Island Definitely plenty of action, but so sad. I picked this up for a car trip. We didn't listen to/haven't read the previous stories but had no trouble with the characters or story line.

Sorry to hear. He was one of my favorites going back to my early 20s. The Valhalla Exchange was my all time favorite action novel for many moons.

Currently reading "Trouble is My Beat" by James Scott Bell and "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" by TE Lawrence.

Pulse I just finished Pulse, by B. A. Bellec, a Sci-Fi conspiracy thriller wrapped in a horror story wrapped in an enigma. Wonderful. A real ‘David and Goliath’ story about a small band of eco-vigilantes working to bring down a small part of a giant, above-the-law, profit-above-all corporation, The Pulse Corporation. Just like in Star Wars, the band is planning an attack that can’t possibly win, can’t possibly leave a mark. They do it anyway. I cheered. What could go wrong??? And we’re off. But things go so terribly wrong. I like reading books that are a creative mark off the traditional. Pulse was just that. The format was almost a mashup between a novel and a screenplay. It added to the overall feel and emotion of the book. I can’t give it a higher recommendation. Five stars for Bellec and for his creation, Pulse. Jeff Bailey, author of the conspiracy thriller Not On MY Watch.

I'm reading The Daylight War. It's the third book in the Demon Cycle series. I very much enjoyed the first book. Book 2 took a nosedive, and book 3 is plowing across the countryside in a tangled mess. I wish I hadn't bought the five-book bundle, but I'm told book four course corrects from some of my gripes. Fingers crossed.

I just finished the latest Jeremy Logan book, Chrysalis. This one was a solid mystery, without the possible supernatural bent of the others. Some action, as well, especially when he virtually shrunk into the computer, ala Fantastic Voyage from 1966!
