Finished Fool Moon and more enjoyable to me then the first one. I can tell now why everyone likes this series. I am a Harry Dresden fan.

Well I'm kind of reading out of genre for this forum,but it is BloodThirsty by Marshall Karp 2nd in the series. (first is Rabbit Factory)

What I forgot to mention before, what I liked most of Harry Dresden is he can look into a person's eyes and see their souls. I always felt the same way. You can tell a lot about a person by looking at someones eyes. What's the saying, "the eyes are the mirror of the soul."

I like that Harry is a geek. :)

Agreed. And the secondary characters are great to. I love Murphy, Michael and Thomas, and I like the wolf kids too.

I am currently reading Spartan Gold by a writer that is one of my heros. Well he oversees things. Mr. Grant Blackwood actually wrote it. PS.. its a Fargo Adventure. I love all Clives books equally lol.

It's nice to have a book about a Husband and wife team. This one has a cool history mystery in it. Let me know how you like it?

Well my Wife and I are a reading team so I can attest to it its niceness.

Okay, I'm not just about a smidge past midway through Declare by Tim Powers and it may be my favorite read of the year. I don't know if it's espionage, Fantasy, action adventure, or what, but it's wonderfully written. The prose is reminscent of The Hidden Oasis by Paul Sussman and then it goes one better.

There is also a lot of this thats reminiscent of 1984, both the book and in ways what I've learned of the life of Arthur Blair (Oswell's reall name). There's a love story that's not a "Romance novel" love story but wonderfully sad and warm and tragic and...hell you read it!

I'm listening to the audio book and Simon Prebble is the right man for this book. (I think the book and the narrator have to "fit" and that the don't always.)

sorry... but I just got to work after listening to an exciting part of the book (no spoilers here) and ...really enjoying it.

It is an award winner, though I forget which awards..

Reading Rusty Nail at the moment. One thing I can say for sure about this series...it will always test my gag reflex. Some seriously icky descriptions.

It's even more fun when you get to Shaken and Stirred.

I bet. I'm averaging about one a month as I've been 'borrowing' them from Amazon and there's a limit. I don't think my stomach could handle them more frequently though.

I am re-reading a book for the first time ever....It's The Six Sacred Stones....and you know I had questions that are now answered...I'm about half way thru and then aiming to read The Five Greatest Warriors. Gotta keep these things in order...So many authors, so little time!

Oh Alice you lucky thing!! We hope to get it this weekend. Mark and I are going to have a jello wrestling match to see who gets to read it first. He just don't know it yet. :-)

Alice/Keri: I got a great Christmas gift (gift card to Barnes & Noble) and spent it all to complete my collection of Matthew Reilly's books (I only had Six Sacred Stones previously). I have the others now and can't wait to read them (Scarecrow series next)...Gotta have a workable New Years Resolution right?? :o)

There are few things I could think of that could be better! While I do adore Jack it's Shane that really holds my heart. He's one of my book boyfriends, although I do share him with Lady D.

If you like Historical THrillers, some Fantasy (no Vampires or werewolves) and some wonderful writing... try Declare (and if you do the audiobook. Simon Prebble is the man!) Great story...
