i think i came on just as you finished. I was out with my pal for coffee and now i am watching greys anatomy (season 5 and if anyone tells me anything about season 6 or 7 i WILL hunt you down and kill you thats a promise :o)) its too exciting to be chatting on skype!!!!!!!

It was such a wierd experience for me to start with. All the little squares popped up and started to wiggle when you all spoke. The only one with a picture was Geoff as Donald Duck. It was just so funny! If more than one perston spoke at the same time you all sounded very odd and impossible to understand. Hope I get the hang of it next time, because I enjoyed it. my mic is just a tiny wee hole on the front of the laptop you'd hardly notice it

It does take a bit of getting used to Susan. I was used to talking to one person so the whole group is a little different, still it's well worth it for all the fun we have although it takes a bit for me to keep up with everyone.

Jud does your tiny wee hole look like it coould light up? there is what I think could be a little hole near the mouse thing that you don't need a mouse for, you know the bit that makes the arrow move with just your finger, oh well I know what I mean. That could be my mic, no one seems to know & it didn't come with a book that told you what all the keys were for. Guess I could just try to shout louder, will test it out & see if you can hear me or not.

Just to say I won't be on tonight because I'm going to my real life book club. I couldn't read the book because I missed the last meeting and they chose a book not available on Kindle, so the print would have been too small for me to read. I didn't fancy it much anyway ;-(

Just popped on to say won't make Skype tonight. I would have organised it with pleasure Geoff ( if you gave me instructions on what to do) if we had not had to change our book club to tonight instead of last night.

I will be on the Skype call this evening and will probably host it. If you PM me your Skype ID I will add you to my friends list and invite you to the call.

After that, you'll need to add everyone in the call to your friends list in case you have to host a call in the future.

It's not easy using Dottie as a guide cat.

Dotty would hate the pub. She is refined. I used to have a cat that came to the pub with me for a while. She had a broken pelvis and I had her with me all the time for a few months. She got banned one day when we had to dismantle the pub to get her out from under a bench - I decided she was well enought to stay at home then.

I'll be on as well... is there a theme? Do I need to find some funny pics and stuff?

Much brighter.........Today was ECRP No3 (or ERCP or something - camera thingy))they removed the stent that they put in the first time & put a different one in, & removed some stones & sludge that had built up. Hopefully the yellow will now start to fade & he will start eating again.

Nudged Geoff at half past eight but must have been too late... nevermind, next time maybe !

Hi Geoff, Patti, Sophie and Darren,
That was quite an experience for me tonight! Really great chatting with you and getting to know you.
After Darren joined (I had him to myself for all of 20 seconds, Patti!!) everything suddenly went dead - was it his cool voice or did I break Skype? I tried to work out what to do, but my time was running out by then.
Anyway I'm really looking forward to reading 'Hole in the World' and discussing this with you all, as well as (hopefully) chatting again soon. Hope you'll keep me informed.

We try to do a group Skype every Thursday at 7pm. It's supposed to be for an hour but we always run over. It's great fun.
