LOL. Thanks for the good laugh. When I'm talking about the Christmas Elf that "watches" Lucas or Santa and the Tooth Fairy breaking and entering during certain times of the year, I'm always aware of how scary that sounds to a kid.

Lucas is kind of on to the Tooth Fairy. He knows I've saved his baby teeth in little baggies in his baby memento box. So when he lost his last tooth, he wanted to know if the Tooth Fairy is real since she leaves money but I have the tooth. He's even asked me if Santa is real.

He scared me to death one day talking about Heaven. I know most people here aren't religious, and, frankly, I'm not either in a formal way. He's young and misses his great grandmother who died two Christmases ago, so he was happy he was going to see her in Heaven. Then he asked if he could be any age, play with his toys, etc., and I ended up making Heaven sound so good it would cause someone to commit suicide just to get there. He told me he wanted to die so he could go there.

Eileen Tressa, I use to collect my kids teeth when they were little, why..I have no idea now. Then I was cleaning out my closet one day and came upon the teeth. Having three children, you can just imagine I had alot of teeth. It grossed me out! Reminded me of some physco killer saving teeth from it's victims. In the garbage they all went.

On the subject of Santa, I still tell our kids that there is a Santa. Because Santa is real! He might not be a person but the spirit of Santa is real. It's the spirit of giving and spreading joy to people.

Falalalala....

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments *gasp!* You threw away your babies' teeth? For shame.

message 156: by Eileen (new)

Eileen LOL, yes! What are you going to do with Lucas's teeth?

Eileen Do teeth burn?

So years from now, when you no longer live in that house, some kid can dig them up and start a really weird investigation that turns out to be a hoax.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments That guy is hilarious. About 10 years ago I stumbled onto his adult Peter Pan blog and couldn't stop laughing. He instructs people how to dress like PP and had an extensive picture gallery. Bless his heart. Not sure he still has the blog.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Here's Luke on Santa's lap this year. Santa asked him what he wanted, and he said he couldn't remember. Then I walked over and reminded him that he wanted a Nintendo 3DS. Lucas glanced at Santa and said, "I think someone else is getting me that." (His grandmother). Then I suggested a football. Lucas shook his head in a panicked way and said, "I remember now. I want a Mario in Wonderland!" He blanked out like Ralphie when it came down to the wire.

message 181: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Thanks, Tressa and Bandit!

The fireplace is one of the things that sold me on the house. Nothing better to me then siting by the fire on a cold winters night.

message 182: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Lucas looks tall...is he really tall for his age?

message 183: by Eileen (last edited Dec 07, 2011 02:52PM) (new)

Eileen Now that's a million dollar smile! Years from now when you look back you'll have a smile on your face as big as Luke's! Great picture!

message 184: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Lucas is tall, not sure how tall, though. We need to measure him because I'm curious. His legs go on forever. Ha, believe it or not, there's a girl in his class taller than he is. I love his toothless smile.

Thanks, Eileen. :-D And about your fireplace, our last stone fireplace was the thing that sold my husband on the house, too. It was a beautiful fireplace, but I like our new one, too, even though it's brick. I'll have to take a pic of my mantle tonight.

message 185: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Yes, that would be great! Love to see your mantle.

message 186: by jb (new)

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) | 2035 comments Oh Eileen that is just wonderful! We have a stone fireplace now too (not that big) and I really love it. We haven't used it yet. It is one of the reasons why we rented this house.

Great picture of Lucas!

message 187: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments Thanks, Jenn. I have misplaced my digital camera, and the bigger one we have sucks up battery juice like you wouldn't believe. I hate changing batteries.
