Chey I don't want anyone to give anything away, I just want to know, are these books worth it? I have started the first one, and so far it is pretty good, but I'm a little concerned, since they are all written by different authors, are they all good? Are they still similar to one another? I started reading them because the first is by Rick Riordan, and I really like his books that I have read, but are the rest by good authors? Please give me info on if these books are good without spoiling them! Thank you!

Miguel The rest of the books are great books even if there not by Rick Riordan you should read them

Megan I think the first ones are best, 1-4ish. They go a little downhill, but the ending is worth it :)

Lamond i luv this book mrs. wise read it before

That was what I was -ish thinking.

I read the first and plannin' to read the next one (at sometime), but im confident they will be all good!!!

I LUV IT!!!!

Danndara lopes it is because it is written by different authors and they have book 3 for example is goin in one direction than book 4 has a different idea its so fun to see what will happen next

Sarah i hate it because the first one was great then all of a sudden the character's personalities change in book 2.

Well, this is really just my personal opinion. I've read the first one all in one sitting and I thought it was amazing. I'd borrowed it from my friend then bought my own copy later on. I had a phase (so did my friends) and bought a few more books, though not in chronological order. As the series went on, I just...fell out of it. It was too much for ten books. And yes, the writing styles are different, and I thought the fourth book was just...dull. So I never completed my collection.

So I think that maybe you should consider borrowing it first to see how you like the books, then if you really like them, buy your own copy. That's just a suggestion though.

Happy reading! :)

notyourfriend yeah but warning: there are so many!

N Thomas yes and there is also another series that branches off this one. You don't even realize it's written by different people. It's really good!!!

notyourfriend first there is this series, The 39 clues. Then it continues as The Cahills v.s Vespers. I heard they are making another series after that one too to continue the story...

Isabella Some people might love this series, but I hated it. With all due respect, the writing was horrific and the characters were annoying as well as inconsistent. I would recommend you read something that is more worth your time.

Isabella Well with children's and teen's literature: Katherine Paterson, Patricia Reilly Giff, Lucy Christopher, Margaret Peterson Haddix, Ruth White, Grace Lin, John Green and Rebecca Stead were all authors whose works I enjoy. They all have very different styles, so you are free to agree or disagree with me to your liking.
(I am 14, but just barely as yesterday was my birthday. I read 39 Clues when I was 12.)

Rachel (I love music) I loved the book Rick is an awesome writer. I'm hooked on the series

message 50: by Arra (new) - rated it 5 stars

Arra I love this series and got my brother and 2 friends of mine hooked. I think it should be read and be appreciated for fun! If you need some time off from very serious books and needs light-reading, try this one. I recommend it to kids and kids-at-heart :)
