Becky, Obsidian Butterfly was originally published in 2000. The most popular edition on GR was republished in 2002.

Also, regarding Goon Squad (Christina's book), the flashbacks were late 70's/80's- from the band references. So, if we're going on the 50 year standard for historical fiction it wouldn't qualify.
