I'm rather lienent on that category, so go for it.

If you don't have a TBR list here on GRs (can sort by date) then just go with one of your oldest TBR books off your shelves at home. Something you've put off reading for a long time, or bought years ago.

You're all doing great with the rocks category. I thought that one might be the hardest to fill, followed by the question category. Collect Rocks Day sounded more fun than the Eat a Creme Filled Donut Day! lol

The rock one has been one of the hardest for me to pick. I finally found one where the main character is a rock climber and cover looks like he's falling off the cliff (bonus - it's in Wyoming, a state I don't have!). I'm also procrastinating on picking a book for procrastination day, just have to look at another list to see what my oldest books are.

Fight Procrastination Day - Don of the Dead
International Literacy Day - Sweet Revenge: A Lady Hadley Regency Mystery
International Talk Like A Pirate Day Decked
Ask a Stupid Question Day - When Did We Lose Harriet?

Carol, it may not be the most correct use of the term, (i.e. hard to collect that version, lol), but if you reallllllly had to stretch it.... lol, I'd rather you use that than leave it blank. ;) Then again, you don't have to read all 5. I havn't even looked at my shelves to see if I have a rock book yet, but have that ghoul one with a question mark starring at me. lol
I haven't started reading my books for September yet and would like to make a change. Here is my corrected list:
2/5 completed
Fight Procastination Day: Murder by Yew by Suzanne Young 09/07/11 (2 stars)~ extra credit for reading on 09/06
International Literacy Day: The Body on the Beach by Simon Brett
Collect Rocks Day: Murder at Granite Falls by Roxanne Rustand 09/11/11 (4 stars)
International Talk Like A Pirate Day: The Ghost Ship by Gerrie Ferris Finger
Ask A Stupid Question Day: Why Shoot a Butler? by Georgette Heyer
Hope it's OK that I do this!

Carol, since it's a "stepping stone" in the picture, it won't matter what it's made out of as we'll consider that "stone". I'm not hard to please. lol :)

Carol, find your second book, either category, and whatever category you didn't fill... then fill with that book. Easy. :)

2. Int'l Literacy:
3. Collect Rocks:
4. Pirate Day:
5. Stupid Question:

Sep 8 - International Literacy Day. Read a book that takes place anywhere in the world, that is not your home country.
Read: Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (England)
Sep 28 - Ask a Stupid Question Day - Read a book where there is a question mark in the title, or a question is posed as part of the book jacket blurb describing the book.
Read: The Kitchen Witch trilogy by Annette Blair. Book one askes, "Do you believe in magic?", book two, "Is it a spell...or the real thing?", and book three, "Is it the charm...or is the Scot just that charming?"
Fulfills all challenges for September except the pirate/ship one, and I don't have anything on the TBR shelf right now that fits--unless I can count The Kitchen Witch by Annette Blair, which has a scene in which they watch the tall ships entering the harbor.

Sep 8 - International Literacy Day. Read a book that takes place anywhere in the world, that is not your home country. (Example, for all Americans, read a book that takes place somewhere other than in the USA.)
Sep 16 - Collect Rocks Day. Any book with a rock (of any kind) on the cover, or in the title. If part of the book takes place in a building made of stone, that will also work. Note: Remember a diamond is also "rock".
Sep 19 - International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Read a book with a pirate in it, or takes place on a ship. (Any kind of ship works). Bonus credit if you post to this thread and talk like a pirate on Sep 19th! lol
Sep 28 - Ask a Stupid Question Day - Read a book where there is a question mark in the title, or a question is posed as part of the book jacket blurb describing the book. (Example: What's a Ghoul to Do? or a blurb that asks.. "Who killed...?). Also, any title that begs a question, such as... a cookbook titled How to Cook Without a Book: Recipes and Techniques Every Cook Should Know by Heart. (I shouldn't need their cookbook then, should I! lol)
Enjoy!
I usually try to pick either the funniest holidays available that month, or something that works well with our groups theme. I couldn't resist "Talk like a Pirate Day!" :)
