I have a silly giveaway question - on Saturday I listed my book for a giveaway, and I put the start date as that day. It took a few days to get approved, and when it was approved, it was well down the list of recently listed (since it's start date was by that point a few days in the past). Is there any way to get it up to the top of the list again, considering that it didn't get a chance to be seen in that context (and not to erase the 188 people who already entered)? Or do you think it doesn't matter? Will I wind up getting a bump in people entering when it's at the "ending soon" end of the list? I hope this question makes sense - thank you!

You will get a bump when the giveaway is about to end. You really can't do anything about the recently listed tab, as it is against policy to edit the start date of a giveaway once it's been live on the site. Keep in mind that giveaways show other places on the site, as well, including the book page.

One thing to note -- nobody at Goodreads works on the weekends unless there are emergencies. Giveaways created in the evening on Friday and over the weekend will generally not get approved until Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

If you are traditionally published, it is possible that your foreign releases will be a month or so later. So, knowing what you now know, you could perhaps list another giveaway solely for Canada or for the UK (etc etc).
