Amelie is my favourite film. I love the storyline, rich colours and . . . everything about it.
The choirists - another beautiful story.
Life is Beautiful - the protective instinct of parental love.
Run Lola Run - fast paced and visual.
There are more - will have a think :)

I only own 2 foreign films that I can think of.
City of God is about a boy growing up in a Brazilian slum town. It's a true story and is pretty violent at times but a really good film.
The other one is Pans Labyrinth, which is a wonderful film although again has some horrifically graphic violence in. (I don't deliberately buy violent films btw, these 2 just happen to be a bit grittier than my normal viewing!)

Hollie I went to see Arrietty last month at the cinema. It was really good. It's a studio Ghibli version of The Borrowers, simply lovely and as beautiful as all their other films.

Amy | 7 comments I love international cinema, but especially European and even more especially French cinema. I really wanna think of all my faves, but really should go to bed, so think I will save this as a little treat for me to do tomorrow :-D

How could I forget Leon and Cinema Paradiso?

I have remembered some more Happenstance, He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, A Very Long Engagement, The Spanish Apartment (after Amelie I thought Audrey Tatou was a good bet), Delicatessen.

I have others that I have in my H.K. boxes somewhere. I'm not counting anime.
