Wow, Emily, you have been busy! Thank you, some great reviews. Lullabyhullaballoo is a fantastic book for Nursery and Reception classes, and I'd recommend it to The Gruffalo fans.

This is a sad story book that is aimed to describe to children feelings and what happens when loved one's die. It is an animated book of an Otter, Mole, fox and Hare who live together and fox is the main hard working member of their family and deals with everything. So when fox gets ill it describes now he becomes weak pale and thin. Fox goes out one day to not return, his friends go in search for him. Thats when they discover he has died and they bury him under foxes faviourite tree. It tells how the Hare, Otter and Mole cry as they miss fox so much. But also has a nice message and picture of fox that they will never forget fox - always and forever.
This book can be used to help children express their feelings at sad grieving times wheather it is a pet or friend or family member.
I think it is really good to help young children have an understanding and feel that they are not alone is situations of lose. p2

This book is excellent for topic work and information it also builds a story into the children's imagination of what life is like for a pirate. It has a real compass on the front. It is one persons tale and part diary of life as a pirate, it includes the rules of the pirates such as "if the pirates fly a black flag it means they show mercy to the pirates they in battle with." It has many pictures to show and describe the clothes worm, the treasure chests etc... There are also flaps to lift with special treasure or jewels with a description along side it. The book also describes how there are different types of pirates and the life they lead, how they caught their food, what animals they came across on the journey as a pirate sailing round the world.
This has been used for a topic for year 2 and year 3. Boys usually find this book most appealing it is an image of going back in time. Very good book to make the topic come to life.
