Okay, so I started looking for the kindle editions for the rest of the TimeRiders series, and all I can get for kindle is Book 2 and Book 5. All of the books are available for kindle at the Amazon UK site. Does anyone know if there is a way for me to buy the books from the UK site and get them delivered to my kindle? Are the UK versions compatible?

Well I finally got an answer from Amazon to my question, and it's not good. I cannot purchase ebooks through the UK site, and the US site only has books 1 and 2 available for kindle. Very sad indeed. I guess I can start book 2 and hope the rest will follow soon. Otherwise I'm going to have to break down and order them in paperback.

Thats absurd book 5 is available on Kindle and not 3 and 4. Where is the sense in that? Sorry you guys are not getting the whole series on Kindle over there. I know from Alex Scarrow blog that he is a bit frustrated with the availability too.

I originally thought book 5 was available for kindle, but now I can't seem to find it. So it looks like it is just the first two books that are available at this point. If I have to get the paperbacks, I will. But it seems so archaic to have to hold a book with so many pages and to actually have to turn those pages rather than just push a button. LOL

If any of you have been reading Alex Scarrow's Timeriders series, he has now just released the final book in the series Book 9 (a number that Alex has always stated will complete the saga).

I just finished reading the final instalment. This was a tremendously well thought out saga with a very satisfying and very thought provoking end. Although it is largely aimed at the YA audience, the author pushes the boundary of YA territory.

The series has a very heavy moralistic message on humanity...pretty bleak message. The last book is very heavy on a certain angle of opinion in terms of religion and in fact the setting of this final novel is set in Jerusalem...two thousand years ago...so guess which historical figure features in this book?! Its very very clever.

The time travel element is bloody great. The whole concept was brilliant from the first book but the revelations here add a little more coolness to it.

The big problem I found with this final book was that it lacked the sense of adventure and exhilaration that the previous 8 books had. It was a long journey of contemplation in two settings, 2000 years in the past and several decades in the future. It seemed Alex couldnt wait to get to this book and didnt pay much attention to making this final more dynamic in its plentiful revelations...it was all very conversational.

But it was still a great conclusion and closure.

I wrote a review here saying a little bit more. the series is a superb 10/10 with the last instalment 7.5/10
