Linda, I was disappointed with the book. The concept is good and it has potential. Pity it goes nowhere.

Bossypants was only a 3 star listen for me. I too thought it would be funnier and was disappointed that I really didn't learn much about her she alludes to certain things(no spoilers) but never tells you about them which I found disappointing.

I liked Bossypants. It was not a laugh out loud type of book, but I always love Tina's sarcastic and real personality so I found it interesting.

Perhaps the fact that I DID NOT want to read Tina Fey's book, was sooo not interested in it, and my expectations were very low...maybe that's why I liked it so much? I was laughing out loud a lot of the times, and found myself driving around the block a few times just so I could listen a little bit more.

John | 3921 comments Not to single anyone out, and I hate making these kinds of announcements, but some members have requested that we show books by cover-and-title, or title-only, but not just a cover pic. Thanks!

message 294: by binter (new)

binter | 218 comments Hi John, can you clarify this for me?

When I mention a book in a post, you're saying it would best if I put the title (preferably with a link) and the cover picture if I want but the title is the most helpful part. Have I got it?

BTW, don't hate making these announcements. We're all here to share/get ideas so if there's a faster/better/easier way to do it, let us know.

message 295: by John, Moderator (new)

John | 3921 comments Yes, I think you get it. The title is especially helpful I understand for folks using mobile devices. I like cover art myself, and am fiendish about getting it just right for my Sony ebook reader, as well as audio titles on my Cowon device that displays artwork.

message 296: by Linda (new)
