YA Today Book Club discussion

Well guys, we had a tie between Possess and Damage when the poll ended and I WAS going to put it up for a vote again with just the two books until one of the authors, Anya Parrish informed me that her book is not available in most book stores. While this wouldn't normally influence my decision, I wanted our first read to be one that could easily be found by our members, because I know a lot of us are transitioning into being in our first book club and I want to make that transition as easy and fun as possible. POSSESS by Gretchen McNeil!

Gretchen is a fellow YARebel buddy of mine on youtube.com/yarebels and a truly unique person. Possess is her first published book, launched very recently. She works a regular full time job, and is also an opera singer in a circus! She is quite the character and if this book is as interesting as she is than I can't wait to read it!

Possess will be a spooky read, and I'm such a scaredy cat that I will probably be sleeping with the lights on after reading it, but since October is the month of spooky, it's perfect! I highly recommend everyone give the book a try, even if it's not your typical read.

We will read the book throughout the month of October, and begin our discussion October 25th, discussing the book until the end of the month. Please do not post spoilers until the 25th!

In the beginning of October I will reveal what member will be choosing our next group of books to choose from, and by the end of the first week of October we will know our next book so that members can acquire it in plenty of time before November starts. I will gladly suggest books and give resources where the member chosen can find a list of new releases if that person needs me to do so.

That's great! I already own Possess, so since we are reading it in October, I better get The Near Witch finished and reviewed before then. *runs off to read*
