Roland I've been going through the American version and have pretty much ignored the updated British edition that came out. However, the spreadsheet I downloaded has both editions contained in it, and is delightfully titled "1283 Book You Must Read Before You Die." According to this spreadsheet, I need only read a mere 19 books a year for the remainder of my life to finish the list, which is pretty damn do-able (Hopefully around the time I'm about to keel over The Taebek Mountains will finally be available in English). That said, I'm curious as to which list everyone is concentrating on. I read heart-breaking accounts of people's number plummeting upon seeing the new list, but I'm still going to read stuff like "Pilgrims Progress," even if the new version says that I can happily die without ever knowing it. So, for those working on the list, "what's it gonna be then, eh?" The American or British version, or both?
