Noel Romey (nromey) | 2 comments Hello,

I am blind and read this book on a digital talking book from teh National Library Service. Basically, we can download onto a specialized player a National Library Service for teh Blind commissioned book. I created a new edition for this book because it was read by a different rrader than the commercially produced audiobook. Did I create this edition correctly? Should I have put the book number in the description (DB45842 is the NLS book number that patrons use to find their particular book). If I need to do something different to fix this book, let me know. I was just unsure what to do as this was a different case. The book was read from the hardcover edition, but I was unable to put eh isbn of that edition as it is the same as that edition. Reasurance please? Or please help clarify how to add this type of book next time.

Thanks.

Noel

Sandra | 31418 comments Noel, assuming this is the study guide you've listened to, you need to add in the name of the reader. You do this by adding a second author, moving that person to the top position, in the add role spot you put either reader or narrator, save. Then you go back to edit page and move the reader to the second position.

You can put the book number in the description field. You can also put in the description that the book was read from the hardcover edition.

When you add a second "author," you can add their Role in when you add them in initially.

Noel Romey (nromey) | 2 comments When I added the edition, I added the second author below the main author. I'm assuming taht order doesn't matter as long as the role is set to narrator or reader?

Sandra | 31418 comments Noel, it does matter which order authors are listed. We use author order in things like combining books.

At this point there is no second author listed, assuming you've linked the correct book to the header of this thread.
