French Polynesia The Bungalow by Sarah Jio is a romance set on the island of Bora-Bora during World War II.

Dina, it was one of the best books I read recently. It's probably the only book that everyone in my library book group enjoyed. He has another book out about working with AIDS patients in the USA that I'm going to try to pick up at the library.

Pakistan Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas D. Kristof. This informative book is about the inequality of women in many developing countries. I am picking Pakistan since there was a large section of the book about young girls sold or kidnapped, and brought to brothels in that country as sex slaves.
Israel Eichmann and the Holocaust by Hannah Arendt. This is about the trial of the Nazi, Adolf Eichmann, which was held in Israel.
Russia The Mirador: Dreamed Memories of Irene Nemirovsky by Her Daughter by Élisabeth Gille. (This was also set in France and the Ukraine.)
Minnesota The Pull of the Moon: A Novel by Elizabeth Berg. (This book was set in several states, but more pages were set in Minnesota.)
Nevada Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream by Hunter S. Thompson.

Diane, I don't give out 5 stars very often, but this one absolutely deserved it. I loved the characters in the book and I loved John Green's writing.

I have had two of his other books (Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns) for a long time, but haven't read them. They have moved up on my list since reading he Fault in Our Stars.
