Hey Heathah...I am a Syracuse native and we had quite a football rival with the Lions back when SU had a decent team....So long ago.

Just to let you know Heather that I am a huge Penn State fan also. I follow only two teams- the Philadelphia Phillies and the Nittany Lions.
Penn State fan here and overall Philly fan in general (except I also love the Yankees).

I joined this group a few months ago, but then never posted anything until today. Just wanted to post a little hello message to introduce myself to the group.
OK, so, can you guess I am a Penn State fan? :) I love Penn State--I'm one of those alumni who can never have enough Penn State Pride: earrings, coffee mugs, signs, I even have Penn State Crocs! You name it, I have it or I want it! :) Ever since I was a very little girl, I knew I wanted to go to Penn State, which I did both for undergrad and graduate school.
I think the only thing I love more than my #3 ranked Nittany Lions, is reading. I am a book junkie--constantly reading and/or buying books. My bookshelves are bending under the strain of all the books I have squeezed into them. My boyfriend's solution: get rid of some books. My solution: Buy more bookshelves, duh!
I have been known to hide a book in my purse, just in case I get a few spare minutes to read a few more pages of that book I just can't put down. This is normal, right? :)
Thankfully, I have the job that goes great with my obsession: I am a middle school Reading Specialist. This also gives me one more reason to go out and buy books! :) Actually, all of the reading I do (try to balance between Young Adult/Children's books, and General Fiction + some Nonfiction) really helps me to find THE book that is going to hook a reluctant reader, and help that student change his (or her) mind about books and reading.
I am in a book club at work (and posted a message about it earlier tonight), and I joined this club, because I am always looking for new book ideas and suggestions. I am also really excited to be making some new book buddies and getting into some great book discussions!
