question
How Accurate should a Historical Novel Be

Here’s a few ideas of what to post.
Do all the details drive you crazy? Not all the time, sometimes it can be a little too much when all I really want to do is get through the story.
Or does a blatant mistake, like a modern word or invention showing up in a historical novel’s pages make you tear your hair out??
The way I see it our times have changed and I dont think when a reader reads a historical they get all technical unless they are history buffs. For myself, I am not a history guru and I really dont pay attention to the details, I am more concerned with the story, the romance more than if they rode their horse right in that time of era. Technical stuff like that is a waste of time to even worry about for me.
Just my opinion but I can see how some take it to heart and I have no beef about others liking the technical aspect of the story.
