Just joined? Drop in and say Hi!

I'm aboard with the series shuffler, series stacker, spell the month and zodiac.
I'm sure I'll be checking out the the PIFM next month -- is that okay with m/m only books?"
Susan, you may need to rec some non-MM, but your own bookshelves are fine as all MM. you also need to check if your picker is over 18 yo if you select spicier options... ;)

The challenges are great fun - you can pick your levels to suit your reading patterns. Here is a link to our last newsletter that has all our monthly challenges listed and below it is a post with our longer challenges :)

Technically, I did not just join but I haven't been very active in this group and I also never have gotten around to an intro until now. I've joined a few challenges here but really I haven't been that talkative. Will try to be more chatty!
Anyway, I'm Teresa and I live in Texas.I have one son, who is 12, plus 3 cats and a husband. I love to read (obv.)! My favorite place from which to procure books is my library, especially given that it is less than a mile round trip by foot. Books and exercise! I try to go at least once a week, sometimes more, depending on how fast I read my books.
I love coffee and chocolate, and my favorite baked goods are cookies, brownies, muffins and cake/cupcakes. I love chocolate cake for breakfast. Chocolate bread, too. I might turn chocolate before too long, LOL. I love to cook and bake and I enjoy collecting cookbooks and recipes.
I don't read as many romance novels now as I used to but my favorites tend to fall into the romantic contemporary category, especially if they are filled with humor or wacky situations/characters (Julie Crusie comes to mind), or romantic suspense. I'd love to read more historicals so it's fun to be in this group to see what everyone else recommends. I've only recently discovered Lisa Kleypas and I really like her writing and her characters. I can't help but love the pretty covers of most modern historicals and yes, that often makes me add a book to my TBR mountain, though the plot does matter.
Okay, enough babbling! Off to check out more challenges that I probably don't have time to join but will probably do so anyway, lol.

Enjoy!

Cheers!

Romance can't help but make you feel better :)

I'm a big reader and I will gladly read anything from any genre. But I'm one of those that if I can't get into it, I don't really have the will power to finish it.
