Welcome to the group Lisa!! Have fun looking through the challenges. When I first joined, I started with the Monthly Challenge - it helped me decide which books to read from my TBR. But its dangerous, since you then add MORE books to your TBR as you check out what everyone else is reading!

Hi, everyone!

I'm not new to the group. Been around for years. But due to health issues, I took a break from all forms of social media. I've been gone for about a year and I'm slowly making my way back to Goodreads. The first person I contacted was Jane.

It has been a busy year for me, aside from the health issues. It's hard to believe that my youngest child graduates from high school in June. So it's been SAT prep and testing, college application. All that fun stuff. We've had a lot of softball too.

I won't go into details (if you interested, message me) about the issues. But, I will say this. Listen to your body. And don't settle for just being medicated to treat symptoms. Demand your doctor to find the cause and treat the cause. If your doctor won't, find a doctor who will. And keep looking until you find one. Your life could depend on it.

Hello everyone. My name is Cindy and I am from Southeast Wisconsin. It has only taken me about 40 years to discover that my true reading interest lies in Romance. I have read a variety of books from nearly all genres and most recently dived into mystery/suspense because all my friends are reading the more popular authors in that genre. Don't get me wrong. I'm by no means cutting on it. It's just that after many years and trials, I have decided I love romance. Look forward to reading all your posts and getting lots of ideas as to what I might read next.

Welcome Joe!! There are some great challenges to jump in on but also team challenges that pop up from time to time. One team event is just about to kick off (The Bachelor Challenge), but another one will start in early March (Pass The Parcel), so watch out for that if reading one book of week matching a theme could be of interest.

Hi everyone. I'm TC and I'm a long time fan of romance novels. My very first were Harlequins and the first ones I read that had anything "racy" were Johanna Lindsey so I was very sorry to hear of her passing. It's because of her that even to this day Historical Romance is my favorite although I've been expanding more and trying out other sub-genres.

I now own my very first Kindle and have no clue why I resisted for so long! My hubby got it for me as an early Christmas gift which I guess shows he knows me better than I know myself. Of course now I have more books than I can probably even read in 2020, but at least they aren't taking up tons of space!

Let's see... I am married, two grown children (one moved out, one at home going to college), I work part-time and we have my MIL living with us now as well.

Looking forward to taking part in some discussions and challenges and I'd love some more Goodreads friends if anyone wants to send a request.

Better late than never to jump in :) When I first found GR, it took me a few months to decide what to do on this website but once I joined this group (thinking I'd just play the games and stalk the shelves) I almost instantly joined a challenge and have never looked back ~ much to my wallet's detriment ;)
