Hi! I'm Courtney. I just joined this group because A.) I love romance and B.) I love to read but with all the craziness that is my life, I haven't really been reading as much as I would like to. I thought maybe being part of a group and participating in challenges will get me reading more.

My name is Sofia and I just recently got into reading as a regular hobby, I have struggled with finding the motivation to read in the past but it seems like now my reading addiction is here to stay! I am super into romance books and being able to talk ab them with people so I was super excited to find this group!

This group definitely helps with reading - it almost becomes a compulsion once you get stuck into some of the challenges! (Beware of the other compulsion - to buy more books!!)

This group is great to find new books, scrolling through other members' challenges and bookshelves - and for a chat. Some threads are more active than others of course - just depends on the traffic 🙂

Hi guys! I'm Jada, a college junior. I go to school in middle of nowhere Iowa, so I definitely look forward to some exciting challenges or buddy reads.

Not new but returning after a 3 year absence. I stopped doing challenges sometime in 2018 as caring for my parents and teaching full time became overwhelming. I just retired at the end of June and am excited to be able to get back to challenges!

I have Kindle Unlimited and that is where I find most of my books as I give myself a budget to purchase books each month and I'm very selective on what I buy.

Hey Guys, I'm Nicky from England, and I have to confess I'm here with a question. I Have just completed a novel which is about a local historical character. I assumed it to be historical romance, but looking at what is classed as a romance novel, I am not so sure. Most of the romance books seem to be pretty intense and intimate! So if you could answer my question that would be most helpful. What is it that makes a novel a romance novel?

Hey everybody - I'm that guy in the back of the theater who likes rom-coms and good old-fashioned romantic movies like The Apartment, Casablanca and just about anything with Barbara Stanwick from the 30's. I've read a few Harlequins - some of them pretty good, a few stories by Nora Roberts, Danielle Steele, Nicholas Sparks, Jody Picoult and Elin Hilderbrand. While not all fall under "romance," that's the zone I've been exploring.

I'm looking to discover more authors and find those gems that I can't seem to discover on my own. I like cathartic stories that cut deep - not really into HEA/HFN, although I know that's a staple of the genre. Not that I'm fussy - I just like moving stories. Mostly, though, I'm hoping to meet some folks here to read stories with and talk about them.
