Hi Everyone! I'm Mariana from Texas. I love romance and am super excited for the exchange. This is my fourth year participating, and it's always a lot of fun. I have been crazy busy this year, not a lot of time to be as active on Goodreads as I used to be; but I have to make time for this. :)

Hi! I'm pretty new to GoodReads! If you're down to let me follow you or add you as a friend, please let me know what your favorite books and music are. I like seeing reviews by people with similar tastes and interests before I decide to read a work or prioritize a TBR.

I'd say my favorite lgbtq+ work is actually a fanfic called Let's Not Hurt Anymore by exfatamorgana on AO3. It is an emotionally raw fiction that describes the lgbtq+ movement of South Korea and growing up gay in South Korea.

Straight fic wise, I really enjoyed The Sweetest Oblivion and the Maddest Obsession by Danielle Lori. The attraction and sexual attraction by intelligent women who don't think being strong means they have to be ashamed of their femininity ticked my boxes. Heart boners and boner boners lol.

My favorite book of all time is Howls Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. Discovered and read it when I was in middle school and I absolutely love how lush and fantastical the book is. A perfect pocket of world building and interesting characters.

Currently, if I were to pick entrance music for myself in the real world, it would be Animal Farm by BIBI. Two songs I currently have on repeat is Winter is Coming by CloZee and Eternal Now by LSDream.

Hi! I love reading romance books during my time to decompress because while i enjoy analyzing and reading other genres, i always come back to a good ole romance for before i go to bed or when i want to escape from my mind. I'll probably just pop in and find romance books if my tbr is lacking or i'm in a specific mood, but don't feel like searching through booktok and book tube for a perfect fit :)

Hi, I'm new here. This year I'm going to try to be more social about what I read. I participated in a virtual book club this past year and really enjoyed it and this seems similar but with more freedom of what you get to read.

So, I'm Erica, I'm a nurse (which means I either have time to read a lot or no time to read at all!), a wife, a mom, a kitty mom, a lifelong reader... In real life I am probably slightly too addicted to lists, so Goodreads and challenges seem like a good fit for me!

In the past I have mostly read contemporary romance and (since I like fantasy) paranormal romance but I've recently discovered I enjoy sci-fi romance and reverse harem romance, so I'm hoping to find some good recommendations in this group.

I guess that's about it, looking forward to discussing books with you all!

We have heaps of challenges that you can pick from, all with varying timeframes. If you are game, we also have team challenges but given you are a nurse, some of the them may be too time-restricted.

I mostly enjoy darker romances, I'm a sucker for enemies-to-lovers and falling-for-the-villain and I consume fantasy in every possible form (from video to board games and D&D, and of course - books). I didn't know where to put this, so I'm putting it here.

For the past two months, my grandmother's health/well-being has decreased greatly, to the point that for the past two weeks, it's hit worse. This is why some of the challenges I signed up for seem a little...empty. Incomplete if I may.

I'll be going on a semi-hiatus for a few weeks, so I might not participate in any challenges. Maybe a monthly challenge. I'm not sure. So yeah.

Anyways, thanks for understanding y'all. ✨
