Welcome to the group Kate! I haven't read historical for a long time so I have no recommendations specifically but. you could check out the shelves of others in the group that have rated those books highly?

Thinking back, I recall loving [author:Karen Marie Moning|48206]'s books (no idea why the link isn't working!) if you like some time travel/fantasy. Sarah MacLean has some humorous historical romances I think (I've only read one). And if steam punk is ok, Gail Carriger writes some great historically set fantasy :)

My favorite genre are a little on the dark side books with lots of triggers and (mafia, Bratva ), but am flexible. Some of my favorite authors are: Zoe Blake, Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, Michelle Heard and Jade West
