Sounds like a list of books you must read before you die. You have some great books on there. Might even read some of them myself next year :)

Well my own reading last year has shown that a lot of classics and books you must read before you die really deserve that distinction. However.... there are a lot of books that are classified as such and are absolutely not worth the paper they're printed on. But I must say it is always fun discovering which book is which.
My TBR list is a mess so I need a bit of advice. Do we go by the number assigned by Goodreads or the date added? I added loads of books on the same days so I'm confused as to which would count or not.
You click date added and then the oldest have a number from 1-50. Those :) If it is 51 it loses out :(
That's where mine is a bit messed up. If you sort by date the TBR# includes books with number 139 under the first 50.
I'll just go with TBR#
I'll just go with TBR#
Oh I know what you mean, I went with the ones on the left in the white block - if that makes sense :)

Makes complete sense, and that's what I was referring to.

*Runs of to change numbers*
I've never changed them, so I guess they should be pretty accurate in any case.

Yeah and that sucks, because I am reading a lot of books that have been on my physical to read pile and even several that were on the to read list here on goodreads, but somehow hardly any of the books selected for this challenge.
I did. I put up a list of 50 books that were the first 50 on my to read list here on goodreads. I didn't change anything on that list before we started because I felt that would be cheating. That means there is a lot of non-fiction on that list and some books which I won't read now because I first want to read some others to have some background knowledge to understand those books better. Since I read a lot of classics and non-fiction last year I am in the mood for a lot of light-hearted books and they are not on the list. But that is ok. I don't mind. The rules are the rules and I am still planning on completing this challenge one way or the other :)
I'm fine too. Didn't change anything on the list since that would mean that the oldest stuff would be ignored in any case. It only means that now I have to delve into my non-scifi shelve which might be a good thing.
Funny thinhg about this challenge is that it will be the first challeneg I won't finish, but that I have read about 30 books during the last year that have been on my physical to read pile longer than the books that have been on my to read shelf on Goodreads and were eligible to be read for this challenge. So if they would have counted I would have finished this challenge easily.

Have fun :)
